  • Child protection has the right to remove children from the home if they are bieng abused or neglected or if things aren't kept clean. DSS tends to annoy all the wrong people and the abusers and neglecters are left to keep on thier tyrades. Parents have the right to contest DSS in court. I cannot tell you a whole lot more than that. I don't have alot of experiance with them, fortunatley. However they do come by every so often to harrass me about my house. It is kept pretty clean my 21-year old daughter helps alot, unfortunatley I have bone spurs and diabetes(still looking for better treatment current one isn't working) which makes it difficult for me to do as much as I would like. Three kids and thier pets always running around makes some things difficult to keep perfectly spotless! Not to mention my packrat husband, lol.
  • This question peeves me off. According to the Gov and do gooders you have NO rights, everything you do, is wrong! The Gov can take your kids away for No reason, other then a jealouse person whom complains. If you spank ya kids for trying to put their fingures in the power point to save their lives, you are wrong, if you let the kid put his fingures in the power point and it kills him/her you are wrong! The Gov whom so calls protects your freedom, will automatically jail you for doing so. You are in a no win situation, sorry!
  • to take kids away when theyre being abused
  • I would think the legalities and processes vary greatly depending on location. Add to that -- often laws are more or less enforced depending on such variables as enforcement agencies desire to do so, publicity or lack of given to, and prominence of lack of those involved --among others. If you Google "Child Protective Services," your hits will be local and state agencies.
