  • yep, i lied about it so much, it became true. (well inside my head) and to everybody else
  • I did right after my wife had her affair, I kept telling myself that this did not happen, but the ugly truth kept raising it's head....
  • I pride myself in telling the truth, even if it hurts, with the exception of stupid things that could hurt someone like "do you like my hair?"...but yes, I believe MANY people repeat a lie so many times they ultimately begin to believe it (my mother is a great one for this, she is pathologically a liar)
  • It's not healthy to lie to yourself. The true way to live a long, happy, healthy life is be true to yourself. Look not only inside yourself but at everything around you and say to yourself, "this is all it is".
  • I only ever lie to myself, if I even do that. But, I do tend to do it sometimes; so I guess yes that somewhat makes me a candidate.
  • i believe the Catanza rule states "it's not a lie if you believe it"
  • Lying to yourself will make you feel good temporarily. But then, those lies will bring you back to reality.
