  • a pun is a joke that plays with words. so if someone says something that has the potential to be used to make a joke then you would no pun intended so people won't think your messing around.
  • it means you didn't intend to make a pun in your statement or question. kinda self explanatory don't you think?
  • If you are talking about something and come across a word or phrase that could be taken for a joke, you can say to pun intended to tell every one that you didn't mean to say it. E.G. Taking care of my dog is ROUGH. No pun intended.
  • LOL--are you referring to one of my answers?? LOL...I am a constantly using the English language to make stupid puns in my answers to questions, because I am a frustrated stand-up comic, lol....hugs, and look for the plays on words within the grammar of my answers!
  • It most often means, "Pun intended" (it's often tongue-in-cheek)
  • It means you actually were intending to make a pun but said "no pun intended" in an effort to draw attention to the fact you just made a pun because you think the person you were talking to may be too dumb to realize you just made a pun.
  • it means that they shouldn't laugh because its not a joke.
  • This is serious. If you can make a joke out of it---Don't. It is not meant as a joke.
  • If I were to say "That's really really hard and big. No Pun Intended." Then you would not be able to call That's what she said.
  • No second meaning intended.
  • First you need to understand a PUN. FOR INSTANCE, several cows get loose and into an interstate hiway at rush hour. Traffic stops dead of course. Some one says " well this is UTTERLY rediculous." That is a pun because cows, and utters are related. If it is said ON PURPOSE, it is an intended Pun. If it was an accident, not on "PORPOISE ". Pun intended there. Then the person would say, as they realized their mistake., "pun not intended."
