The fact that we have the intelligence to find ways to minimize their numbers and the fact that many of them have animals and other bugs as their natural enemies. They are also driven by instinct and hunger and do not have actual intelligence.

Birds, frogs, chameleons, other bugs, small mammals and marsupials, weather, insecticides, etc... I don't believe they are trying to take over, but without their predators, they would.
