It is .850 from my back door to the corner of my road. 1.7 k from my back door to the bridge down the road. 3.8 from my back door to the local hall, 3.86 to the pub, and 4.7 from my back door to the petrol station.

I don't know how far the closest one is mileage-wise, but it takes around 15 minutes to get there. It could take a little more if there is tons of traffic. The closest PO isn't real close to my home. There are alot of traffic lights to go through also to get there.

I live on an island in Florida. I have to go to the mainland, over a bridge, to get to a post office...or approximately 25 miles, round trip. :-( The USPS has promised us a small facility here on our island, but that hasn't happened. Given their putrid economic circumstances, I decided to stop holding my breath on that one. +5, nutmegcollector.
