Alfred Hitchcock. His camera angles,lighting,and special effects were the best in the industry at that time.He could bring out emotions because he understood what the audience wanted.

Fellini. La Dolce Vida and 8 1/2 were hard to get though but I found them endlessly rewarding in a sense I can't describe.
