  • We aren't married yet, but we are having trouble keeping our budget below $9,000 canadain.
  • $10.00 for a license and $50.00 gratuity to the JP. We were married in a court house. :)
  • About $100 bucks including the license. We got married at a courthouse. Floofy weddings are so not me.
  • Under $1000 including the honeymoon. The divorce is what cost so damn much.
  • $0.0 i married a Girl on the Dream haha.. becasue i did not married yet... LOL
  • So far we've spent over $20,000 and the wedding is in September... still have more to spend I suppose...
  • I'm not married yet.
  • The wedding cost nothing. The license was $15.00
  • Approx. $14,000 Canadian.
  • $7000, $2000 of which went to the photographer. Yeah, they're nice shots, a Hasselblad H2D39 with plates instead of film, but he only gave us about 20 prints. Good enough to put on his website though. (whatever that means)
  • We combined our wedding with a holiday so got the two in one . It was in venezuela and by a Spanish Speaking Catholic Priest so My husband was never sure he was legally married or what he had promised. It was beautiful and fun, and considering it was a holiday cost us nothing. We got a fabulous suite in a 5 star hotel too. The little church was pretty old and quaint
  • Ours was $200. We got married in a little chapel near our town. We were allowed 10 guests and it was kind of crappy. But I got to wear a dress and we had a small ceremony. I didn't see the point in paying for a huge wedding, but I did want a small celebration where I got a chance to dress up. <img src="http://www.cherishedvows.com/images/500_Cherished_Vows_Wedding_Chapel.jpg" alt="" />
  • Ours cost £500.
  • Not much. We went to the courthouse, paid the judge. I think it was 50 bucks for the license, and 50 bucks for the judge. We didn't invite anyone except our witnesses, and we went out to dinner at our favorite restaurant. Then we went home.
  • 1st one: $2,ooo, 2nd one: $200.00:, 3rd one: $40.oo.
  • It was free. My father's cousin was a cake maker and she did as our wedding gift.
  • I'm not married
  • My parents paid for my wedding - it was just family and close friends but it was quite a big event. Im in the UK and i expect it cost them somewhere in the region of £18,000 so thats about $35,000. Fantastic day though - lets just hope we dont get divorced or I may have to pay my parents back haha!
  • We had 50 guests attend our wedding, it was held at a heritage listed property, we had a celebrant attend, we had finger food, entrees, main, dessert, coffee and cheese as well as softdrinks, alcohol, fresh water and we organised tours for everyone. We organised the tuxes, bought ties for the males in the wedding party, we bought saris for each of the females in the wedding party and had a flower girl and page boy. We also had a wedding night at a local hotel (the Mecure) and we also had a wedding car for the weekend. We also had a photographer, wedding cake and presents for each guest as well as those who couldn't make it but still sent gifts. All up, the ENTIRE wedding cost $10,000. Want to know how we did it? Read on... We managed the entire wedding with that amount because I grovelled like a dog to our caterers and got a massive discount in exchange for listing them in the wedding booklets, we also had staff come and work free of charge at the heritage listed property and I helped the wedding photographer get a teaching job so in exchange he took photos for next to nothing and gave us all the negatives. We gave cake to the guests as presents on the day and then put together a photo and music cd as well as powerpoint presentation as post-out gifts to everyone as a thank you for attending and for the gifts. We scored the car for the weekend out of luck - a garbage truck (driver on mobile phone and not paying attention) hit a car which hit a panel van which hit a stationwagon which hit my car (with me in it). All of us got together and threatened to sue the company and as a result all our damages were paid. When it came to my car being fixed, I held off till the wedding and thankfully having a sympathetic panelbeater, we were able to organise the repairs to be started friday afternoon and finished monday morning thus giving us a pretty little red sedan which perfectly matched the red sedan my parents were driven to the wedding in - we didn't need chauffers because friends came to the house and did the driving for us. All in all, we did pretty well but only because we (okay, let's get real brides, instead of we, that should be 'I') did alot of it ourselves or asked those attending to chip in a skill or item as their gift - we had our wedding cake made as a present to us.
  • Probally $1000 for everything
  • engagement ring $375.00 wedding $14,000.00 making my man miserable Priceless
  • Our wedding budget went from $10,000 and 200 guests to $1,500 and 8 guests when I got sick of planning a wedding.
  • My first wedding cost about $750 including the dress. My second wedding cost about $1,500 including the dress. Both weddings, my mother made the cakes so that saved a bundle there. Pictures were taken with our own cameras and turned out GREAT in my opinion. I don't understand the need for spending thousands upon thousands of dollars on a wedding. And I don't understand the need to spend the same or more so your friends can get wasted and throw up all over the place. Sigh....
  • Approximately $4000.
  • 35.00 for the licends. 20 for the dress materials, and like 20 for punch. Aunt is a decorater other aunt is a baker and the justic of the peice dose it for enjoyment and dosnt take money!
  • I haven't had one yet! :o( We paid $35 for our marriage license, and that's it. But someday we'll have one! ♥
  • I'm still in the planning process, but I'm looking at it costing around $2500 to $3000
  • A meager $10,000 with 100 guests. Use loved one's talents!! We had a free photographer, DJ and cake courtesy of our families! That is the best option ever!!
  • Umm all told with the food and venues and clothing and flowers it was a little under $10,000. And we managed to have the whole thing paid in full (nothing on credit cards for the wedding) by the day of. It was awesome. We got the pictures done for free because my dad is a photographer, and I think he did a better job than some of the photographers my friends have gotten for their weddings, so that was cool. The cake was pricey because we went with a pretty high-end bakery, but due to some sort of error on their part we got an extra cake lol! We got the flowers fairly cheap (only about $800 for a LOT of flowers, it was great) because we went through a friend of a friend. For alcohol we hosted a keg of beer (we only had about 100 guests so that ended up being perfect), plus wine for dinner and champagne for the toast. Otherwise people were on their own for alcohol, but we had no complaints, and most people just drank the free stuff and never even had to spend a dime. You don't have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to have your dream wedding...I didn't :)
  • We spent @ $3500 almost 14 years ago. We paid for the wedding and we were young so we cut a lot of corners.
  • Which one!! ha!! 1st - 75k the second one (which I think was WAY better) was 8k.
  • im planning the wedding and im budgeting £15 grand
  • five and a half thousand rand
  • does this include the cake, the flowers, the invitation, and oh yeah, the DIVORCE!!
  • $2200 and the band let me off very cheaply by charging only $600. It's nice to have a drummer as a friend.
  • $8,500.00 for 75 people in 1991.
  • The death of a loving FRIEND. Thats all I'am going to say about it here tho.....
  • I can't believe how much people spend on weddings! lol My first wedding was at a chapel and the reception was in my sister's backyard. That probably cost about $300 because we rented a tent and tables/chairs. My dress cost $20. Most of the food was brought by relatives. We put up a volleyball net, everyone wore shorts and brought their kids. We played cd's and did karaoke. It was a blast. Second one cost maybe $100. That was just family and we got a big deli platter and sides. I couldn't see doing it any other way!
  • Plenty, but not in money. My nerves were shot! I was exhausted and I had our 2 one year olds with us, and when we got there , we ran right into a camera crew that put us on TV as part of their Valentines day special. I could just die thinking of it! It was friday the 13th, but they are closed on valentines day, which was a saturday, so we got "lucky" When we got home, it was on the news!!!!
  • I will have the final amount in a couple of weeks, but I think it is going to be about 2,500 to 3,000.
  • oh, about 5,000 dollars. I'm having an elegant wedding with lots of flowers. I have cut costs and found people to do things for me to make my wedding at this cost. The average is 10,000 to 15,000 dollars.
  • Under $300.00. But it was really nice, we had alot of help to make it beautiful.
  • I think it was under $1,000 but way back in 1973, way under. My mother and I sewed all the dresses, including mine. We made all the food, and great food! We made our cake, three tiers:-) But we did rent some fake grass carpeting for our driveway and patio area and tables and chairs for the guests. That cost a lot, well, a lot at the time. Most of the flowers were grown at home, except for my bouquet. It was really a family and friend project.
  • Was married in 2005, My now Father In Law married us, our license was ($25.00) (we took premarital classes) in MN that gets you a discount. We were married at the church that we were members of (this too will usually get you a discount, We used the chapel for free. The church cook did the food for us. 50 people and an appetizer buffet it all cost $600.00,The head cook actually worked for The Waldorf Hotel in NY. Cake we got from Buttercream in Minneapolis, cost ($250.00) Family friend that was good with his digital camera did the photography for us($600.00) we got all of our photos on a disk so we could print the ones we wanted. This was for 6 hours of his time. We rented a car at ($175.00) for the get away car... Flowers were ($250.00) - small town florists are the best priced from what Ive found! Honeymoon was (1200.00) this was air far and 5 nights in Mexico. We working with the hotel vacation specialist and a travel agent for about a week seeing who would offer us the lower rate. All that for $2500.00 After all was said and done we were very happy with doing a small intimate wedding. ~Colleen peepmywedding.com/Colleen
