  • Depends where you are coming from in my opinion No definately not,.
  • No. God is almighty and holds all power - MOO!!!!
  • NO!!!, God created the devil- I doubt he would create something better than him.
  • No, God made Satan. God just has no control over him.
  • It depends on how one allows the belief or disbelief in Satan or God affect one's life. If someone lives an extremely pessimistic, fearful existence, and sees "Satan's" evil in nearly everything and very little joy or beauty, then the concept of Satan has a powerful grip on her life - possibly to a greater extent than her God. It seems to me that God would want her to enjoy life instead of living in fear and limiting her enjoyment and experiences based on fear. Some people become blind to this.
  • God created Lucifer, an angel. Lucifer rebelled against God because he wanted to be like God. He convinced 1/3 or the angels in heaven to follow him. God threw them out of heaven and will deal with them soon. So no, Satan is not as powerful as God. In fact, he has no real power at all. He only has the power we give him. He is neither omni-present, nor omni-potent. He has never created anything and cannot create anything. He is a liar and the father of lies.
  • No, of course not. Satan doesn't exist, but Osiris does. Therefore, Osiris has greater power than Satan.
  • Only if you want it to be.
  • What kind of question is that f*** NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  • Good question. Some Christians Unconsciously believe it. Personally, I do not believe in the existence of Satan. Belief in Satan is not a condition for being a child of God. By the way, Devil is not all-powerful.
  • They're both ficticious.
  • nothing negative is stronger than positive, no matter what your personal beliefs are.
  • Definetly not.
  • no,he is just the ruler of the earth right now until God comes. when satan tempted Christ on the mountain top he said he'd give him the power over the earth if he'd just curse GOD. satan works hard on us and he is doing a good job.....
  • Yes, they are both figments of the mankind's collective imagination, so independently they both have the exact same amount of power: None. "God" and "Satan" only exist as concepts of personified "Good" and "Evil", so the real power lies not in "God" or "Satan", but rather in the human minds that originally brought about and now maintain their "Existence". Ultimate power over ourselves does not come from outside of us, I think that's one of the sometimes inconvenient truths of life that people use religion to get away from.
  • NO. Not even close ... Satan is a powerless wimp, IT wants power, but has none.
  • Actually, Satan (correct translation = challenger) works for God. Can you imagine what would have happened if S would have said "No God, I like that poor guy too much, don't make me torture Job" "No, God, do I really have to tempt you only Son?, I don't want to do that."
  • Satan is a creation of God and no creation can be greater than the Almighty Creator. The Holy Qur’an (HQ) says if He wills He could destroy everything He’s created with no power capable of stopping Him. HQ 5:17 as translated from the original text by Mr Pickthall “They indeed have disbelieved who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. Say : Who then can do aught against Allah, if He had willed to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on earth? Allah's is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He createth what He will. And Allah is Able to do all things.”
  • No Satan was an angel that God banished from Heaven so Satan's power is only equal to that of another angel.
  • Yes. Neither exist, so they are equally powerful.
  • No. Satan is a created being (a creature) God is the Almighty Creator. Christ is God come in the flesh and above all because the Father has given Him all power in heaven and in earth, thus, even Satan is submissive to Him and will someday bow to his knees and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. I hope that this is helpful. -In the Master's service. Thank you and God bless you!
  • No considering neither exsists as a single all powerfull entity, however if you belive one or both do then its up to the individual to decide, it comes down to that one word: Faith!
  • Not even close. "But deliver us from evil." The last petition to our Father is also included in Jesus' prayer: "I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one." (Jn 17:15) In this petition, evil is not an abstraction, but refers to a person, Satan, the Evil One, the angel who opposes God. The devil is the one who "throws himself across" God's plan and his work of salvation accomplished in Christ. The Bible teaches that Satan is a fallen angel. Scripture sees in this being a fallen angel, called "Satan" or the "devil". (Cf. Jn 8:44; Rev 12:9) Satan was at first a good angel, made by God: "The devil and the other demons were indeed created naturally good by God, but they became evil by their own doing." Scripture speaks of a sin of these angels. (2 Pet 2:4) This "fall" consists in the free choice of these created spirits, who radically and irrevocably rejected God and his reign. The devil "has sinned from the beginning"; he is "a liar and the father of lies." (1 Jn 3:8; Jn 8:44) It is the irrevocable character of their choice, and not a defect in the infinite divine mercy, that makes the angels' sin unforgivable. "There is no repentance for the angels after their fall, just as there is no repentance for men after death." Scripture witnesses to the disastrous influence of the one Jesus calls "a murderer from the beginning," who would even try to divert Jesus from the mission received from his Father. (Jn 8:44; cf. Mt 4:1-11) "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil." (1 Jn 3:8) The power of Satan is, nonetheless, not infinite. He is only a creature, powerful from the fact that he is pure spirit, but still a creature. He cannot prevent the building up of God's reign. • They are both are a matter of the power you give them..no power at all without some kinda belief in one or the other..
  • One and the same, one can't exist without the other. schitzophrenia at its finest!
  • No satan is not equal in power, God has let him run the world to prove that (legaly & beyond question) that man is not capable of governing himself. You see when Satan caused man to sin, that amounted to an act of rebellion against God's sovergnity In front of all of Gods heavenly civilazation, which caused them to rebel & cause anacharchy see Gen cha 6 . So God has let a court case prove that he's the only one who can manage things (& he proved that legaly) no one again can challange him
  • I don't believe that either exist, so "Yes", they are equal in power.
  • No. Satan is a created being and while he is very powerful in relation to humans, he is not as powerful as his Creator. Satan tried to usurp God's position because he wanted to be worshiped, He insinuated that God was a liar and questioned the rightfulness of God's sovereignty over His Creation, but he never attempted to question God's power. Has it been merely a question of who was the most powerful, the issue would have been settled way back then.
  • Based on the Bible, no.
  • Yes. In fact, he's stronger.
  • If God knows all, sees all,he just let it happen then.
  • Of course not, Lucifer("light-beaer") was created by God, out of his love. He knew that Lucifer(Satan) would abandon him, but he stiull lvoes him even now.Right now God can destroy satan but he wont b/c he lvoes him.
  • not even close... compared to God the devilboy is an ant... and a poor excuse for one too. several arche angels are close to him in power and many shadow him everywhere. in fact, all demons have at least two or more angels of equal or greater power dogging them, where ever they go, keeping them out of too much mischief making. and this includes the old saltydog himself.
  • Satan does not exist. God has ALL POWER. Satan was created by humans who wanted to control the lives of other humans. God is constantly creating and expressing himself. The idea of Satan represents destruction which goes against God in every way. For some reason people are unable to accept God's love without feeling unworthy. The fact is that he loves us unconditionally and he did not put us here so that we could be judged as imperfect and sent to "hell". This is not the way that God manifests himself.
  • Heck No
  • Of course not, he could have no power, except it be given him from above. (John.19:11)
  • If I believed in either one, I'd say that they were in balance. As all things should be.
  • He is much stronger. In that his propensity for evil by far outweighs god's lethargic somewhat hohum attitude towards humanity.
  • if satan is was gods arch angel what war was god preparing for why did god let adam and eve be temped if garden angels where protecting garden of eden and god chaind satan up but god had too put a seal on satan for cant satan take over souls like satan tired too get jesuse to jump off the mountian so satan could enter jesus plus where did the souls go that jesues die for because god took his sons soul to heaven but what did god do with the evil soul jesuse died for
