  • I am an Atheist and, yes, I am very offended by those ignorant, biggoted asses who call themselves religious
  • All gods children must deal with their own...
  • I do my best to offend everyone.
  • no I'm not just don't push your thought's on me
  • No, not at all. It is up to each individual to stand before his creator and face up for their own beliefs. Not believing in god is a religion in itself funnily enough. It is a system of belief, which makes it a religion.
  • No I am not offended we are all entitled to our choices/views in life
  • No. Its just their belief and I have no right to be offended by that.
  • Nope. Why should I be offended? I live in the United States of America where we are all free to believe as we choose. I'm only offended by bigotry, religious or atheistic.
  • Not offended by their beliefs, but often get irritated or offended with their self-righteous arrogance that they actually believe they have solved all the world's mysteries and KNOW the answers.
  • Nope. They have just as much right to their beliefs as I do to mine :)
  • No, as long as they don't denigrate my religion.
  • No. I think it's all about MUTUAL respect, tolerance and love. You respect me and we will all get along.I don't question anyone exept if you know... they murder someone or some animal or they look for war.
  • IF THEY ARE NOT AGGRESSIVE LIKE COMMUNIST BUTCHERS- TURKISH, SYRIAN, NORTH KOREAN RED GENERALS, NONE SHOULD BE OFFENDED BY THEIR ATHEIST ATTITUDES; NEVER!
  • why would I be offended by atheists? no, what really offends me are the christians who give christianity a bad name.
  • NO; I am not offended at all . That is their CHOICE , just as it is MY choice to be religious ....
  • I'm not religious per se. I see the downside of organized religion as well as the downside of atheism. Who I find comical are rabid atheists who are just as unreasoningly biased and judgmental in condemning theists as the extreme "hellfire and damnation" Christians they oppose. I am in the unenviable position of having both groups hate me because I dare to expose their minuses, not just their pluses.
  • Of course not! Who the heck am I to orchestrate what people should believe? That is really arrogant, isn't it?
  • No..freedom of religion. But if they get in my face, I'll debate them all day.
  • I'm too old, too busy and too wrapped up in the positive things life has to offer to be offended by anyone. Can't even get annoyed any longer. And I like it that way. +5
  • i'm not offended by them - just sad that they don't know the Truth. they want proof...step outside & look around. or look at how perfectly everything works together - in people, in animals, etc. i know that is not enough for them and probably nothing i could personally say would make them think otherwise.
  • I'm not offended by Atheism or Atheist, per se. However, I am OFTEN offended the behavior of SOME atheists, such as: 1) Angry rants against people of faith. 2) Complaining about people of faith trying to proselytize them then aggressive attempts to destroy the faith of others - which, if you think about it, is "Atheist Proselytizing". 3) Insults and snarky comments about people of faith and their beliefs. 4) Anger directed at at form of faith based moral absolutes. 5) Insulting derisive comments about deities. 6) Insulting derisive comments about the scripture and the resulting world view of people of faith. 7) Angry rants about how intolerant people of faith are and then then intolerantly attacking those who point out the beam in their eye - their intolerance of intolerance. 8) Angry rants about how persecuted Atheists are while the whole time persecuting anyone and everyone - even other atheists - who have the audacity to disagree with their assessment. 9) Irrational claims about how unified and united Atheist are relative to world religions when nothing could be further from the truth - Atheists bicker, attack, fuss, and fume at each other just as much as any religion group. And history is filled with examples of Atheist killing Atheist - a charge that is often leveled by Atheists at people of faith. 10) Claiming to have a "live and let live" attitude when their behavior demonstrates anything but. 11) Condemning religious people as "hypocrites" when often Atheists are just as hypocritical. Etc., etc., etc. There's are very good reasons why Atheists have become one of the least trusted people groups in survey after survey. They blame others for this but, frankly, them seem to be their own worse enemy in many cases. http://www.mndaily.com/2009/02/22/survey-us-trust-lowest-atheists http://www.asanet.org/cs/root/topnav/press/atheists_are_distrusted
  • Maybe a little. But I won't say anything.
  • No. Jesus teaches us to love everyone, even if they have different beliefs than you.
  • "...no controlling force exists except your own..." That statement supports the other side of the coin. The side that believers so vehemently deny.
  • Not at all. They have to live their lives I don't.
  • I feel genuinely sorry for them. Not in a condescending way... I just wish everyone could experience the joy of knowing Jesus. When people block themselves from it, there's rarely much one can do for them. It's sad/
  • Hmm...I am more offended by the word "religious". But....When it comes to athiests...no. In fact I am rather saddened.
  • Like pretty much every "group" of people, I am offended by some and not offended by others. Their lack of belief in a God does not offend me, but their behavior may.
  • Yes, but atheists won't listen to theists, so there's no point in trying to argue with them. Of course atheists think the Bible is a work of fiction, but Psalm 53:1 doesn't talk too kindly about atheism.
  • I'm a Catholic and I don't care what other people belive it's their business so be it.I have better things to do than worry about these things MARINE BOB
  • Those who call themselves are 'offended' by anything that frightens them, anything that threatens their little fantasy bubble, anyone who is different than they are, anybody who dares think on their own. It's not "offended" the word is "afraid" - totally different animal
  • just because i disagree with ones lifestyle doesn't mean that i find it offensive. People have free will which god gave us and let men and women alike use it how they will but in the end judgment will come and those who used their free will unwisely will be judged and those who used it for gods purpose holds the key to the holy kingdom.
  • As long as we can both respect each others beliefs then I'm fine. I just don't like people who are very dogmatic in their beliefs and want to scream you down. That's not cool.
  • +5. I am not religious but I do have a personal relationship with Jesus. I am never offended by someone elses views on God. All I can do is present the bible as I know it in a loving maner. If they call themselves Atheists, so be it. I am not offended by honesty
  • No. They made their choice and they have to cope with it. It does not negatively affect me other than my wish for something better for them
  • I have noticed that there are those Christians who are offended by those of us who call ourselves Atheist. If the vandalism to my house and cars is any evidence.
  • No I dont! even though I may not agree with there Beliefs they are in fact entitled to their own belief and i will support that fact!
  • No, they are jokes at best fools at worst for so many reasons.
  • I am not offended by atheist. Im only offended if they start shoving their views down my throat. I dont shove mine so I expect the same treatment
  • No, because they have made their choice, just like I have. God exists. It is just a matter of whether you accept that or not.
  • If the creator gave man free will to choose for themselves, who the hell do I think I am to attempt to take it away?
  • Not at all. Some may have good reasons for feeling that way, whether it is right or wrong. Mind you, I can be offended, but it isn't because of someone's beliefs as such. Even the bible states that. Ecclesiastes 7:9.
  • I suspect that 'those who call themselves atheists' are actually atheists.
  • I am religious and I am not offended by Atheists unless they do something offensive. I believe in freedom of religion including the freedom to not believe in God. The entire world agreed to include freedom of religion in the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights. See Article 2: http://www.un.org/Overview/rights.html The citizens of the United States think this freedom is just as important as the freedoms of speech or the press. All are part of the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution: http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.billofrights.html Even the Catholic Church seeks and supports the freedom of religion for all human beings. In the Vatican II document, Declaration on Religious Freedom, Dignitatis Humanae (Human Dignity), the Church states: The human person has a right to religious freedom. This freedom means that all men are to be immune from coercion on the part of individuals or of social groups and of any human power, in such wise that no one is to be forced to act in a manner contrary to his own beliefs, whether privately or publicly, whether alone or in association with others, within due limits. For the entire document, see: http://www.vatican.va/archive/hist_councils/ii_vatican_council/documents/vat-ii_decl_19651207_dignitatis-humanae_en.html With love in Christ.
  • Those who call themselves Atheist merely were never educated upon the origin of religion. Which would make them being Atheist make perfect sense. When you know what god is & where the concept dirives from. Then you will feel much better about not being religiously involved. The concept of god comes from a sacred ancient Atlantean/Nubian science. That's right science created god out of logic! There are things about the Universe we've been lied to about big time. • No I'm not.
  • I hope I offend people with my atheism. if they're that easy to offend then time to get a life, period.
  • No, I am not offended by atheists. I only have deep pity for them as they wallow in deep thick
  • yes... some of them are really sick.. they love to talk about God a lot more than we do :)
  • The following comic dialogue captures atheist arrogance and ill-mentality perfectly : One caveman (atheist!) stands in the rain. Another but smart caveman behind him under shelter comments, “Um, why you standing in the rain?” (atheist): “It not raining” (smart): “Yes it is.” (atheist): “No it not.” (smart): “Huh? Water fall from sky. That rain.” (atheist):“That your opinion.” (smart): “Not opinion. Fact. See? Raindrops.” (atheist):“Don’t need to look. Already know it not rain.” (smart): “If it not rain, then why you wet and me dry?” (atheist): (Pause) “Define ‘wet’ . . . ” (smart): “Oww . . . Brain hurt!”
  • Those who understood religion, God etc should not be offended by anything. Those who stick with some organization which sell religion and God will get offended. It is like being a member of a political party and being fanatic about it.
  • I`m not religeous, but I do have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The bible says in Psalms 119:165 Great peace have they that love thy law; and nothing shall offend them. I love everybody. Even people I don`t like. But that came with time. Seeking God everyday and reading his word.Lots and lots of prayer. God has done this, he raised me as a son. And showed me so much mercy that I did not deserve. God is real, and I am a new man because of him. Religion has caused nothing but grief. It was the religuos that hated Jesus and wanted him dead. And now their doing the same thing in his name! I am sorry for those who have made the truth evil spoken of. But its a relationship God wants. Not a religion!
