I have several versions in several languages, but as a Tao-Zen Buddhist, I only got them for comparative study while I was actively studying general theology, along with dozens of other religions ... I do not actually USE them at all.
-
I use several.
-
I started with KJV and later I changed to NIV.
-
I personally use the NET, but when I'm using the Bible with someone else, or memorizing verses, etc. Basically anything that involves using the Bible with anyone else, I use the NIV for clarity's sake. I also use the NLT, AMP, and NASB for comparative study.

NIV - it's thick, has a solid cover and is great for pressing flowers...

I've got several. One is a New Revised Standard. One is a Good News Bible. We have several story Bibles for Little Bit, and she is learning verses out of a KJV right now. The others are easier to understand, but the KJV has a poetry that the others don't that works better for memorizing and reciting.
-
I mostly use the KJV in English and Almeida (corregida e fiel) in Portuguese.
-
Primarily NKJV, MacArthur Study Bible. I also have several KJV editions. But the NIV, NASB, and the other faithful translations are fine.

I have a copy of the Saint Joseph Edition of the New American. Of course I haven't cracked it open in probably close to 6 years now.... +3

I use KJV with the Strong's concordance and the NIV.

I used to have 1 KJV (I'm pretty sure anyway) as well as a couple copies of the NKJV. I've since given them away. Now I don't own any.

I use the Harper Collins study Bible for my religion class. I have a few 19th century bibles in my antique book collection, but I don't have a clue what version they are.

For reference, I have a KJ, NKJ, NIV, NLT, ASB and a Catholic Bible. Currently I am reading a Zondervan NIV study Bible because I like the way it "reads," but my main bible is a Nelson NKJ study Bible becuase it is a slightly more accurate translation and the one used in most churches. I prefer Bibles from Zondervan and Nelson.
