  • Yes if I had a teenage girl. Might as well get it while the abs are still tight.
  • Hummm....Probably not before the age of 16, so, nope!
  • Nope! No tattoos, extra piercings nor any other sub culture trend while they are living at home, even if they are 45 years old !!
  • Yes I would.....
  • Too late, they already did.
  • No, she could wait until she could sign for herself. If she wanted it then let her do it.
  • yes, it's their body and if they want a belly button ring then i dont mind it. HOWEVER no tattoos or other body piercings ; only ears and belly button! :)
  • No. first its the belly button, second its the ears, third its their nose, fourth its their mouth and fifth its their boobs. This gives new meaning to the phrase "heavy metal".
  • god no! when shes legal she can and no sooner!
  • My daughter got hers at 16...She was extremely ill when she was in 5th grade and they did not know what was wrong with her...I made a promise to her then that she could get her's pierced at 16. I always keep my promises....
  • No, not if it was my daughter
  • Nope. . However, there isn't much I'll be able to do about it when she gets a little older if she's bent on getting it done.
  • No. My daughter constantly begged me to let her get an eyebrow piercing from the time she was fifteen until she went off to college. I always said no; but her first trip back home she was sporting a new eyebrow piercing! I couldn't say no anymore because she was old enough that she no longer had to ask my permission.
  • Yes, actually I let my daughter get one when she was 15 as part of a deal. The deal I made her was since it was SO VERY important to her, I'd let het her BUT it was & is SO VERY important to me that she not ask for any part of her face to be pierced. She'll be 17 in May & her face has no piercings. She just asked for her eyebrow to be done but our deal was in writing
  • Well i cant stop her, we have the same age and i think its okay if it doesnt get infected or something. =P
  • every teen at the agee wants to because they want to feel like there olderr but it doesnt matta just use your ownn discretion.
  • maybe their ears but the belly button, well it may depend on how responsible she is because with any piercing there is a degree of treatment to the area to make sure it heals nicely. My daughter did her own nose piercing and ears at 16 and took very good care of it and that is the only way I agreed to it and she is now 19 and just got prom Queen tonite!!!!! Im so proud of her!!!
  • Too soon!
  • No. My parents made me wait the four years until I was 18 to get my face pierced. It sucked, but honestly, when you want it, you can learn to wait until you come of age.
  • Piercing can cause infections
  • There is a reason why you have to be 18 years old to get a piercing/tattoo.. because it looks inappropriate on anyone younger! Your 15 year old daughter doesn't need to be the next Britney Spears with the naval ring until she's 18 and doesn't need her Mom or Dad's permission to get a hole through her belly. Just my opinion! I'm only 21... just had my first daughter. Had my belly pierced at 14. Completely unnecessary. I did it because all the other girls on the cheerleading team had it done and for no other reason. My daughter will be waiting until she's 18 (whether that's hypocritical or not, I don't care!).
  • I would tell her she can if she still wants it in a year. So have her wait a year that way she'll feel she has some control over her own body but she can't just do something to her body that she doesn't really want. At least she doesn't want snake bites! :p
  • I think it really depends on how mature they are. Some people only want it because they think they will get more attention if they do, which is the wrong reason to get it. Others are too immature to take care of the piercing properly. If your 15 year old doesn't fit into either of these categories and you think he/she will handle it responsibly, then why not?
  • let my daughter do it. She is a good kid. solid. good grades and mature. I thought about it a bit when she asked me. Her mom took her to do it. No problems.
  • HELL NO! If your 15, you dont understand the medical, and phisical issues here, talk to a doctor first please! (Kindly!)
  • nope. my girl wanted one at 15. I told her she could do what she wanted to her body once she was an adult. She is an adult now and doesn't want a navel piercing any more.
  • NO way. but that's not going to stop her
  • If she was my child then I would let her If that's what she preferred and It's not a big deal about It!...It's not like she's hurting anyone or If It's against the law.
  • Nope, they can do it themselves when they're 18.
  • Depends on their maturity, but yes I would consider it, seriously.
  • My daughter who is 14yrs old has been asking to have her belly button pierced, i said no despite most oh her freinds having it done. She recently went and had it done with her biological father who she has recently started seing after many years, was supposed to be getting her school blazer and shoes! Asked him why and he said she wanted it done, what a plonker, and lady in shop did not ask for id and my daughter put she was 15 down on the form. Will be paying a visit to the shop first thing in the morning is it me or are the majority of the people in the world braindead including my child
  • If my daughter wanted to get her belly button pierced, then it means that I made a mistake while raising her. I wouldn't allow it at any age. It bugs me.
  • No. Not due to age,but because I seriously think, that piercing is ugly.
  • She shouldn't need parental permission to get her anything pierced. If she's mature enough to have sex and legally abort the baby, she's dang mature enough to decide whether to get a belly button piercing or not.
  • No, I would not.
  • Yes; IF he had the $$$ to pay for it ... and was responsible around the home and at school . +5
  • I did one better, i took her across the state line and had it her get it done legally, with my concent...on her 15th birthday of course, i'm not a hiddious monster. with no feet. .... Then shortly after that she asked if she could get her nose peirced and I said no. Should have followed my own wisdomed ways and helped her with that one too, cause the next day she peirced her own nose with a saftey pin and it got infected . What can I say, my daughter is her own girl, no matter how much protest, so i've come to realize it's much better to show her i appreciate her being who she is, by showing her with my concern for her welfare, not her fasion fare.
  • No, she might wind up looking like this
