I've imagined that should my girlfriend and I break up, I'd blast "Back in Black" by AC/DC. Totally lame, but the energy of the song and the line "Yes, I'm let loose/From the noose/That's kept me hanging about" totally describes being back on the single scene, haha.

Well i know a couple of songs that talk about breaking up... i'm not shure if that's what you want but.. here it is: Theory of a Dead Man: Santa Monica Billy Talent: Surrender Three Days Grace: Gone forever (This band's songs talk a lot about bad things in life, mostly breaking up and running away, but their awsome) Slipknot: Vermillion (part 2) (It's not a metal song, really, it's actually very nice) David Me Show: Can U feel It? (this last song is from a guy famous in youtube. I love all of his songs, but this one is very heart touching) Well.. those are songs that i like to hear when i'm feeling blue.. Hope it helped

When I was a teenager one of my boyfriends broke up with me over a friggin Instant Message, and I swear I happened to be listening to "Don't Leave Me This Way" by thelma Houston. Almost every song on my Patsy Cline's greatest hits cd is good for wallowing in your misery. "You Were Only Foolin'" is the one thats most applicable to my ex relationship. When your finally over it "No Time" by the Guess Who is cool, though I don't think its just about a breakup.

I generally don't listen to lyrics, nor do I go reeling from a break-up, so for me a good break-up song is either a) something that is really loud-and-fast b) something that is really funny or c) something that would help me pull new talent. This one is pretty inappropriate, but man is it funny. And catchy.
