it wouldnt ruin my life but i would never want to see it happen. i dont think it would ever happen anyway. theyve been around for millions of years i doubt theyre goin anywhere.
-
Probably intellectually..practically speaking, I don't believe in killing animals for their skin to make alligator handbags and crocodile high heels or whatever the heck they do. What else are crocs and gators used for? I guess in the south they use gator in their food stream one way or another. These animals are predatory and dangerous but I don't want them to be extinct..I just want them to stay in their neighborhood and do no harm. :)
-
Yes ! They are an important part of our eco system and should be protected.
-
I really couldn't say "see you later alligator"
-
Yes, it would bother me a lot. Human beings aren't going to be satisfied until we have decimated every natural ecosystem and wiped out every species that we consider less superior to us. When there is nothing left to destroy, we will destroy ourselves, and once we're all gone, only then will earth stand a chance.
-
Yes, it bothers me when any animal or Eco system becomes threatened.
-
yeah...it would disturb the balance of the ecosystem, i don't know how, but it would...that's probably be harmful to us eventually, cuz i guess we're at the top of the ecosystem...
-
Yes they survived since the dinosaurs , they should be protected and studied more.
-
Very much so. The more diversity there is across species ( i.e. the more different species there are ), the less extreme the weather is. Extinction of species makes the weather more variable and violent.
-
Yes. They've been here the longest of the current species on Earth. They are left over from the dinosaurs. It would be kind of sad.
-
Yes I would, if they became extinct the ecosystem and food chain would suffer terribly. Each animal that becomes extinct drags down with it about fifteen other species, reason why ecologists as very worried.
-
It probably wouldn't affect me personally, but every creature plays some role in the ecosystem. If alligators and crocodiles disappeared, the unbalance would cause repurcussions somewhere in the food chain.
-
I don't know of anything that eats them so I don't know how necessary they are in the chain of events that keeps this place going but I'm sure they do their part or they wouldn't have survived this long. And, I would like the place to keep going.
-
It depends on what role they play in keeping everything else balanced.
-
I dont want anything to be extinct
-
I know this is going to sound awfull but im always honest so ill admit it no it wouldnt
-
Hell yeah! I live in South Florida, the only place with both. We need to keep as many of our species around as we can.
-
Not really, but it would be a bad thing if they did become extinct.
-
Yes it would, they're just about our only connection to the dinosaurs & thats a pity!
-
Well, I don't want one for a pet, but I don't want them to become extinct either! : O )
-
it would bother me a lot. because those critters are not even near exitinction. what cata clysmic event happened that would cause such a distortion in the environmental community???
