Sure aslong as I hadnt seen him pick his nose or scratch his ass
-
Of course.
-
Yes I would.
-
no because i do not believe he deserves my respect, he has shown himself to be the same as all that he proffesses not to be!
-
Sure. I believe that we can disagree without being disagreeable. Besides, we're both married with kids. This poor guy's got his mother-in-law living with him and half the country on his back so he'd probably need a handshake and a friendly smile.
-
Yes, but would he shake mine?
-
Of course! It would be rude not to.
-
sure....i would never seek him out to do so,but then ...i am just not that kind..Hilary Cinton? no, i would go the opposite direction to avoid...but she is just a personality type i avoid ,period..:)justme
-
Nope!
-
Sure. Why, is he coming by?
-
Of course I would. Just because you may not agree with someone on certain issues, does not mean they are a bad person or that you should be rude.
-
Sure, I don't care if he is President I would still use hand sanitizer.
-
Absolutely, however a better question would be do you think John McCain would shake my hand? After all I'm not some wealthy corporate executive, just a middle class working slob. The type of person McCain would just as soon see eradicated!
-
I have no particular desire to do so, but of course I would. I'm not rude, and I do respect the office of President of the United States. I would only decline a hand shake if I were given a reason to do so...and that hasn't yet happened insofar as President Obama. Given the Oval Office episode, however, I'd have to give a second thought insofar as Bill Clinton. I just don't admire those who show such disrespect to their wives and children in that manner. It may have passed with everyone else...but not with me.
-
Only if he washes his hands after going to the bathroom
-
Forgive me if I don't shake hands.
-
I may not agree with his politics but I still respect the office of the President of the United States. I would shake his hand and offer him my respect, but I still would not vote for him.
-
I would, but not just because I voted for him.
-
definitely!!!
-
Of course I would!!!
-
No, I would not. I would look him in the face and tell him that I do not want to shake his hand.
-
Nope.
-
I would, as it would be a great honor to shake the hand of any President.
-
yeeeeah!
-
I'd be honored to!
-
mayyybe.ok fine.i would.
-
no thank you
-
Yes I would. What a ridiculous question. I would even shake hands with President Bush, even though I can't stand him. I would love a chance to sit down down an have a conversation with either of them.
-
Yes I would not every one gets to shake the pres. hand that would be a cool thing to do. also it would be super rude of you not to even if u hate him u would look like a complete ass if u refused
-
GASP! Yes! Then I'd draw him near and tell him his wife needs a new stylist ha! I'm sorry, she's on so many magazine covers looking... well, it makes me try to physically shake the image out of my head. That aside, I'd certainly be honored to shake his hand. We are so lucky to be a part of this in America. If we make it through our failing economy, we'll be able to say with copious pride that we were part of something truly amazing.
-
I'd love to meet him. I think he has come a long way, from a single young mother who had him, to living with his grandmother who raised him, going to college, not free mind you like some but coming out with student loans he has to pay back (like his wife). I think he is an example that the chain can be broken and your home life or your money has nothing to do with what you really wants. To me he represents the American Dream if you work hard you succeed. He pushed through a lot of barriers to get where he is. I am white so I'm not playing a race card. I'm only saying he didn't use the excuse of my father wasn't around, my grandmother raised me, I had no money for college etc. to not do things he is capable of. I hope others that are in a rough spot see him as an example and strive to do their very best to succeed no matter the odds.
-
I would love to! He is one person I would love to meet.
-
Yes, I would shake his hand and if I had the oportunity to say something I would say, "You're not pulling the wool over everyones eyes."
-
Already have -- not since the election, though. It was when he was a Senator. I would shake the hand of anyone who is President of my country, regardless of party or how much I disagreed with him/her on the issues. (Having said that, I'm a Democrat. The above paragraph references the fact that I shook hands with George Bush -- both of them -- and was happy to do it. We're all Americans.) Besides, think about it this way. If there's a politician you disagree with, does refusing to shake their hand make them more or less likely to listen to you? I'd say go with the handshake to be on the safe side.
-
Out of respect for him and his position of course I would shake his hand. Even though I do not agree with his liberal agenda or his political philosophy, I do respect him as a man and for what he accomplished-becoming a President of the United States.
-
Among other parts. :) lol, j/k. Yes, I would.
-
Why would I not?
-
Um, probably not.shake hands with the guy who is screwing our country, probably not
-
Absolutely! I'd be delighted to!
-
I know I already answered this question... But I'd do it again. I will NOT shake his hand because he is about to turn his back to Israel and side with the Arabs. He wants to make the Arabs his allies instead of Israel. It's not going to work. For generations the USA has been a friend to Israel. Obama will be the first Presidernt in US history to turn his back to Israel. I have no desire to shake his hand. No, thanks.
-
NO!!!
-
I would shake the hand of any president of our country, its about patriotism and loyalty :)
-
I would be happy to.
-
Gladly. And have my picture taken with him.
-
I'd shake his hand, just before I hugged him!
-
Without reservation. I'd be honored.
-
If he came to my house, then sure. But there's no way I'm travelling all the way to America to do it lol.
-
NO
-
Yes.
-
Absolutely. As I would all of the past presidents still living. I did shake Clinton's hand in 1992.
-
Would I shake hands with President Obama? Now let me ask you the same question, I don't see any reason to not shake his hand. Yes I'd shake his hand and would love to give him a hug as well. Would you shake his hand? Unless of course one would think the color of his skin would rub off on theirs, maybe they shouldn't. Have a wonderful day!
-
No I dont think I would be able to get the smell off my hand!!
-
Yes, of course!
-
nope, if i ever got close enough to shake his hand i'd spit in his face instead.
-
Certainly.
-
as an Aussie it would be a great pleasure to shake Obama's hand and thank him for bringing Pride and Leadership back to the Presidency of the U.S.
-
at least be polite even if you dont like him, I do however and would make him a cuppa tea in true Britsh sense
-
Certainly, I can respect a person without having to agree with Him. I also respect anyone who is able to become the President of the United States. We have got to stop this totally non-productive polarity we have with people who think differently than us and stop behaving like children. You can agree to disagree. Every person deserves respect because we are all made in the image of God.
-
Yes I would out of common courtesy because he holds the office of President, but not out of respect because I have none for him. I say that without malice or anger. Just simply being honest.
-
I would shake hands with any U.S. president. Why would someone refuse to shake hands with someone of different political ideas? How rude.
-
I would shake hands with any Presidents who are still alive.
-
I have...and it cured my cancer... Praise GOD!
-
I'd shake hands with anyone who was president, be it duhbya or Barry. You can tell alot about someone by their handshake, and plus it's not every day you get to meet the leader of the free world.
-
Sure after I shat upon them!
-
Sure I would like to see what kind of hand shaker he is. They say the way a person shakes hands says something about their charecture.
-
Of course. Whether you like him or not, you would not shake hands with a sitting President of the United States? Shaking hands is not hypocritical, either. Just because you don't like someone doesn't mean you can't show respect for the position.
