The mayan calender stops in 2012 because that is when we enter "the age of aquarius" This is not going to be the end of the world, but a time of change. Apparently a change for the better. According to astrologists. I actually dont know much about astrology, but this is just what I have read. Really the only thing I know about "the age of aquarius" is that crazy song from the end of the movie "40 year old virgin"
