  • At first by their actions. When I get to know them their actions become apparent. Good Q Bob.
  • Intentions are like words; they mean nothing without actions. And actions speak volumes about a person beyond even intentions. Integrity and honor talk, BS walks.
  • I don't define people. We are not words in a dictionary, we're human beings.
  • Totally Actions - If you talk the talk you need to walk the walk -
  • The term Action is what humans can do. which already involves intention. Any coordinated bodily movement is refered to as an action. Deciding to do something might be considered as an action. While trying to do something may also not be considered an action, since the intention was not completed. Intention I trhink can be thought of as the bond between the idea or thing. Without intension of some sort, words nor actions can have no meaning.
  • I think you have to consider both. True actions are observable, but the end result may not be as we intended. Say I killed you in the process of giving CPR. Crushed your chest. I did kill you, but my intent was to provide aid. Did I murder you or was I negligent? I throw a snowball at you and you fall and crack your skull. Just an accident, or a "Freudian slip?"
  • I don't usually define people. I try not to judge them so much either. I see them from what I know and their actions and intentions are apart of them. I appreciate both, but tend to think more towards the intentions side.
  • ACTIONS!! Actions speak louder than Words... :)
  • By their actions, it is all talk until they act.
  • i would have to say both because actions and intentions speak volumns about the type of person he or she is. you cant have one without the other. that is my belief anyway....
  • On AB we judge people by their opinions using ratings. Judging isn't defining, and opinions aren't intentions...but it's a thin line. I totaly agree Actions say far more than Intentions, but it's not a "one or the other" thing. Imagine 2 identical people, defined as the same in every way. Yet living in different countries, giving only one of them the uppertunity to act on his/hers intentions...
  • actions, yes. intentions, sometimes - depending on the degree of how close it would have come to becoming an action. you can't really blame or congratulate someone on something they could have or would have done. intentions are just thoughts.
  • hmmmmmmmm maybe both? ?
  • i do actions. Because think about it... there was a person starving.. and there intensions were good, But they were were to busy but they tried... or The person didnt have alot to give.. but still gave a little... and where do u think the saying came from--- The littest good deed is better than any of the greatest intentions.
  • by thier actions.
  • Their actions ,a person may have many good intentions but being apathetic they never do anything
