I don't like it at all
-
I've always enjoyed it there ... never had a problem. I like the soup, salad, and breadsticks special ...
-
I'm afraid so...and the ads looked so promising too!
-
I think the Olive Garden kicks major ass! It's not as good as The Macaroni Grill, though...
-
Yes, it very sucks. Any chain does, it's the nature of the beast.
-
That depends on if you value quality or quantity. I think they are too expensive for the quality of food they offer, but I'll show up for the "never-ending pasta" when they have that special on. I'm an enormous gluttonous bastard after all.
-
I wouldn't say it sucks. It's nothing compared to homemade Italian meal, but that is true of most restaurants. It's not bad for what it is.
-
I love the Olive Garden, I haven't had a bad experience there
-
Two words.... Endless salad!!!!!
-
Depends how long it has been open.
-
Nah. It's appropriately bland for the American taste.
-
Not in my opinion. That's one of my fave restaurants! Love the salad, soup & breadsticks. And the spaghetti. And the manicotti. And the mushroom ravioli. YUM
-
Well, the service is decent and the big salad is a nice touch. The menu does not impress me though, and the breadsticks are hugely overrated. Even the Pillsbury dough boy can do better there.
-
I've never been there because I heard rumors it's always SRO and they don't take reservations. Some people have told me they've waited over 2 hours and the line didn't move, so they just left without eating.
-
Yes, frozen dinners just don't make it in my book or my table.
-
No. It's decent.
-
Not really. i did hate it for a while because one time we ate there, i had spaghetti and i threw it up the next morning. not because of the food, but really because i had some kind of stomach virus. so it tasted like vomit for a while... but i got over it. i like Olive Garden, but we don't eat there that often. usually when there's a birthday in the family do we eat there.
-
It's ok maybe for luch
-
i like it now and again.
-
no way. endless breadstix and salad. mmmmmmmm
-
Not in my experience. I like it fine, my wife loves it. I enjoy the seafood pasta. The service is always great and the prices are reasonable.
-
never been i will check it out. let you know.
-
Yes, any place that refuses to offer but one salad dressing sucks big time! Even McD will offer you a choice!
-
It beats what they have in Mindanao. Pasta sauce is NOT supposed to be overly sweet. I don't like raisins in my spaghetti. I miss Italian food and the American facsimile known as Olive Garden.
-
No. It's just very expensive and has slow service.
-
It's over rated in my book.
-
Let me say this. I've been to PLENTY of restaurants, most in which are very expensive. ($20, $30, $40 a plate) Nothing comes close to the FOOD (food only) they serve at The Olive Garden. Service can be a little slow sometimes but is DEFINITELY worth it!!!! And it's not even expensive!!!!! That's why The Olive Garden is my favorite restaurant.
-
Yes. like the McDonalds of sit down places. I make better pasta
-
It's not Italian, if that's really the question. It's not poison, it won't kill you, but it's nothing like a real Italian meal.
-
Not Totally, I like there salad, stuffed mushrooms and the fried ravioli
-
No! their food is amazing! for a semi-fast food italian restaurant they are pretty damn good. their Zuppa Toscana is to die for, their bread sticks amazing, and their main dishes amazing...but this is just my opinion so...there you go.
-
If you are competent at making pasta at home, then I would recommend not going out and spending 10x more for something you can do... That said, if you are not so good at cooking, then I would go and enjoy the salad, breadsticks, and specials, why not?
-
No... it's good
-
No, they are extremely adequate. . I read a column once that speculated on the relatively recent success of these non-fast-food national chains. The idea it put forth is that when business people travel they are often expected to invite clients out to eat but don't know the restaurants in the local area. Restaurants like the Olive Garden are a safe bet. The food will be pretty good, and you can be sure there will be things on the menu that won't get stuck in your teeth.
-
Not in my opinion. We actually enjoy Olive Garden.
-
Food sucks as does the corporation that owns it. They are one of the advertisers that responded to that cow Sarah and pulled their ads off the Letterman show. By the way if you want to let them know what you think of their slop here is some information. Darden Restaurants, Inc., (NYSE: DRI) headquartered in Orlando, Fla., is the world’s largest company-owned and operated restaurant company with almost $6.7 billion in annual sales and through subsidiaries, the company employs approximately 180,000 employees. Through subsidiaries, the Company owns and operates more than 1,700 restaurants including Red Lobster, Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, The Capital Grille, Bahama Breeze and Seasons 52.
-
Yes. I am not wild about the prices but I think their food is really good.
-
Yeah.
-
Love Olive Garden! Try the chicken & shrimp carbonara.
-
For a chain restaraunt, they are pretty good. I like their "all-you-can-eat" pasta bowls. And for $1.99 more you can add all-you-can-eat Italian sausage1
-
It is a huge chain so you may get different responses but as a whole they have a good menu and good food. Very Italian of course.
-
Avoid at all costs. Its just commercial junk thats all prepackaged in plastic bags and heated up. If you like Italian, find a locally owned place and eat there. Everytime I have ever eaten at Olive Garden I felt sick afterwards. If you are a foodie by any stretch, trust me on this.
-
depends on the location
-
Depends on the occassion. I wouldn't recommend it for an aniversary or something like that, but for a night out, I think it's fine. They have really good bread sticks.
-
Yes! I love the OG! I have liked every dish that I tried there. And they have some tasty new specialty dishes, like the mezzaluna.
-
i dont think so
-
I don't like it , I'll take the steak house over them
