  • cause there is milk in it!!.lol
  • There should be no reason for this. If you drink ALOT of skim milk (mostly water) you will urinate more. Regular milk, unless drunk in large quantities like any other liquid (more than 6-8 glasses a day) should not cause excessive urination. If you are having this and not drinking this amount, consult your physician.
  • Dammit now you made me want a milkshake!
  • Are you drinking it very cold or warm or at room temperature? When are you drinking it... in the morning when you get up and your bladder is full or during lunch after your bladder is full? Sometimes a cold drink feels cold as it goes through your body. Cold can stimulate the bladder causing you to sudden feel the urge to pee. It may just be that you drink milk every morning before you actually pee for the first time that day. If you drink cold water in the morning you should get the same effect. Milk can have negative effects on some people, but I don't think excessive urine is one of them.
  • Hahaha idk.
  • I've noticed that. I know exactly what you mean. Drinking milk before going to bed will result in my needing to get up in the middle of the night to pee. What I would like to know is if there are drinks or food that work in exactly the opposite fashion. i.e. That they make it so that you don't need to pee so soon after eating/drinking. Such knowledge would be great for men suffering with enlarged prostates, where they need to pee quite frequently, even during the night. Anybody with any suggestions? guydebyl@yahoo.com.au
  • I'd say be lucky that's all it makes you do! LOL I can't drink milk...
  • The same happens to me. It is worse than drinking water before going to bed. For some reason, the body seems to separate the water from the rest of the milk and it ends up in my bladder. I'm disappointed with some of the other responses, because they obviously don't experience what the author and I experience. The one person who knew what it was all about has still not had any points awarded to them. That is why I was motivated to answer this question myself. What I would love to learn is what food or drink would do the opposite, in that it would stop you wanting to pee for quite a while while one slept. It would be very handy for those men who have to get up in the middle of the night because of enlarged prostate problems.
  • I don't know, but I have the same problem.
  • In my case I found out that my body was getting rid of the sugars that occur naturally in milk I only drink water,(no tea, coffee or sodas) milk I get in cereal.
  • its the 44 oz soda you had with your burger
  • I find the same thing. I believe it is because I am intolerant somehow. There was one answer about the sugar in the milk and the bodies requirement to get rid of it. I wonder if you took a lactaid or digestive when you eat the dairy if that would process the sugar (if they are correct about that) and then the constant need to pee wouldn't be there??? I am going to try that.
  • I have the sane issue. Milk makes me urinate a lot and it does not necessarily happen around bedtime. I love milk and can drink a tall glass or a small 8oz cup of it and will have to urinate a lot throughout my day. i drink lots of water, tea's, juices and nothing makes me urinate as mush as milk. I don't get any pains, the urine is always lighter in color, there is no odor or anything, just the excessive urinating. The best answer I have found is that the body is separating the sugars from the base and makes the body dispose of it through urinating. The very best answer could come from your doctor, so don't forget to ask next time.
