According to the hymns we sang in church there will be streets paved with gold and mansions for all. I like that idea.

I went to a Catholic retreat, Blessed Trinity Retreat Center, Ft. Mitchel, Al. this last weekend (2,3,4 Feb. 07.) It was a slice of Heaven to me. It is on more than a hundred acres of land, with many trails, a creek, a river, even a babbling brook. Trees of all sorts, deer, squirrels, wild boar, with many, many birds. The weather was perfect. Meals were cooked for us, there was no cleaning after the meals, there was hot coffee constantly, plus hot water for a wide variety of different teas. No TV, radio, computer, it was just God and me, what a combo!!!! Don't get me wrong-I am addicted to the TV and computer, but it was great. It was also a solitude retreat, so even though there were seventeen in our group, we only spoke when we had a short get together once a day. Hopefully we can speak in Heaven! For this weekend the quiet, except mother nature, was a great way to quiet ones self to hear God's voice. Hope this helps. God Bless, <:))))<><

I've heard it said that it is impossible to extract all of the impurities out of gold but the more your able to do so the lighter and more colorless it becomes.So gold in its purest state might be transparent.

When my son had his stoke he actually stopped breathing for a bit. My son who was at that time 6 said he saw Jesus, the big gate and the prettiest lights he had even seen. Not just white but many colors. he said you will get your new body but he had to come back. Since that time he loves people and absolutely loves Jesus. He tells us he cannot wait for us to die, because heaven is the prettiest place he ever seen.

The reason that I am looking at this site is because I have a website called http://asplashofheaven.com/default.aspx which is about gardening & related topics. However I started to ask myself what Heaven looks like as I was considering extending the scope of topics covered in my website rather than just gardening. So is Heaven about a garden or a city or both? As I understand it Jesus referred to the Kingdom of Heaven, which in my mind sounds more like a country than just one city but then again I think the parables Jesus used to describe the Kingdom of Heaven are more about acts of kindness & innovation relating to faith. Maybe Jesus was describing a place that was possible if people behaved as they ought to rather than as they do i.e. lying, cheating etc. or thinking that the way to behave in a decent society was just following rules & regulations and castigating those who trip up. Still not sure what to do about my website though.

Its full of only Christians, who sit on thier high horse mocking all who are brain washed .. I mean believers, well every other religan is below burnning in hell.

Its amazing to me all of the people who answer these quetions just to be mean and hateful. Infused with a white glowing light that lives and breathes and through it we have our breath. Perfection. No sorrow, no tears. No pain. Fear is gone. Only the warmth of golden Love. Like a baby in it's Mother's arms wants for nothing, so then is the eternal peace of God's Holy sanctuary. And there is a River which flows through it, of living crystal waters.

god's heaven to me seem's so impossible to reach. I've heard so many stories about how wonderful it sounds and looks. I have done s much wrong in my life and i dont think i could make it. I so scared to go to heaven or rather die because i dont know what's out there beyond the body. i just want the chance to see my granny again. I was only wit her for 6 years. I want to be able to make it to see streets of gold and big mansons and see all of my family and to see jesus the man who made it all possible. i just wish there was a way that i could communicate with her to see how she's doin. I know i have my moments to were i can be a pain. I admit i have sined greatly and i know jesus is not pleased with my life choises that i've made so far. Even though i have said bad things about him, doubted him, and what ever else, he has still allowed me another day to live. I wanted to make all the right moves to get me to his kingdom so that i can live forever and never worry about dying. Sometimes i cry because i think of not making it there. I used to listen to everybody else and what i noticed is that everybody else cant get me to heaven only i can so from now im am going to try harder to succed in my journey beyond the heavenly sky.

Some people may see heaven as a figment of christians imaginations, but I know with out a doubt that it is real. Realer than any other thing on earth. You know the prayer: "Let thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven" We have seen glimpses of heaven hear on earth. Like when people receive things from others who didn't diserve it. Or when you have so much joy you can't contain it. Or when the sun shines bright and makes your day. Heaven is a place with a big garden and there are purple flowers and red flowers and white flowers and green flowers and blue flowers and all kinds of flowers. There are great big walls and lots of angels. When people sing, there are colors coming out of there mouths but no sound. If you ask for a pie, He will say what kind, you can fly and you can swim in clear, breathable water. He has many rooms. Rooms of all instruments, rooms of body parts for those on earth that need them. He has a nursery for those who died too young. Heaven is a place where you will never be bord.

The problem with this and every other thing in that cult is that heaven is a concept which is up for interpretation and each and every so called Christian has a different idea that fits their own delusion. Based on what I've heard most commonly described, it sounds like a giant toilet paper factory up in the sky

Ok, I've just gone thru all these answers and here's a summary of what I've seen: Streets of gold, mansions, a river living, a pic of flowers, a movie, some dude who went to camp, some person who's happy that their 6-year old kid is wishing his parents dead, bright lights (but it's unknown whether they're incandescent or fluorescent), a guy talking about gardening products, another guy who wants to go beyong his heavenly destination (a NASA astronaut perhaps?) and a shitload of cut and paste bible scripture In addition to some contributions from Atheists who think the place is like a mega church, a toilet paper factory, has white flames and Santa Claus in it and doesn't exist Now, if I were looking for a reason to believe in a deity, how the hell could I ever make any sense of any of that? Heaven streets are made of gold, everyone is going to have a mansion, the angles voices are like nothing you have ever heard. Just imagine the most beautiful voice you have ever heard singing, the angels voices are 1000 times more beautiful than that. Just imagine the most beautiful site you have ever seen, the things in heaven are so beautiful and wonderful you can't even imagine them because they are unimagineable. God, that is truly something. Everything is perfect in heaven no sickness, death, pain, despair. The family reunion is going to be the biggest and the greatest of all. The food is going to be extra good, it is going to taste the way it is really suppose to taste. Heaven is truly a wonderful place and you would have to be crazy to choose the alternative. It takes work to get to heaven, it's not hard and the wages and benefits are excellent. I hope to see you there, because I am going to do all I can to make sure I secure my rightful place in heaven.

It is not uncommon for concepts of eternal salvation to be presented in an idiom that is widely comprehensible. Persons can choose to believe those descriptions literally -- the authors may even have believed them literally -- but attempting to subject those concepts to proof against the logic of the material world is just silly. In doing so, one is not challenging the concept of eternal salvation, one is simply challenging an idiom, which is to say a metaphor. For someone to hear the phrase, "He was a speeding bullet running around the track," and then immediately jump in with all of the objections: "He couldn't have been a bullet, he wasn't made out of metal, any bullet going that slow would be worthless, he wasn't catapulted by burning gases," would be obviously ridiculous. Challenging a believer's idiom is equally absurd. Time and space itself cease to exist beyond this continuum. Some physicists argue that, when you get right down to it, time and space don't even really exist. So the concept of "gold" being part of an eternal state within the context of conventional mechanics doesn't work. On the other hand, if someone insists on bringing that IDEA -- the IDEA of being surrounded by gold -- into a different state of reality outside of our present continuum, there is no one who knows enough about that alternate reality to tell him/her that such is not possible. That alternate state will not be defined by the mechanics of this one. So the bottom line is, we may well end up experiencing in a vastly different reality those ideas that we have nurtured in this reality -- those who have nurtured a positive reality experiencing precisely that and those who have nurtured a negative, dishonest reality, experiencing precisely that.
