  • Because the Lord God always approved of plural marriage and never made a law against it in either the OT or the NT. By Biblical law Mark could have as many wives, concubines, or slaves as he can afford. Of course there is no slavery today. Man has made laws prohibiting plural marriages along with church doctrine in violation to the Lord God's law.
