You do not have to be 65+ to be lonely.

It dosent mean if you have children you wont be still lonely,my grandma has 6 children and none of them go much and she gets lonely so my answer is if you have children or not you can be still lonely it all depends on you what you choose to do with your time.

plenty of ppl are lonely with kids - makes no difference

Well I will likely have a dog or two around, hopefully still my husband (assuming I get married), and maybe some nieces and nephews. Who knows?
-
I think I'll be just fine.

I'm not sure but there will always be friends, travel, bingo etc... you dont see the kids or grand kids all that often anyway. They are usually spread out all over or are too busy. So I say, probably not.

Lonelyness is a problem for the elderly especially, like my granny says, most of her friends are under the ground. . .

Not necessarily. Many people are quite happy just with their spouse or others their own age. And just because you have children doesn't mean they will be there for you when you get older. There are rest homes with many lonely people and most of them have children and grandchildren
