  • Monopoly!! like 2 years ago
  • A few years ago. It was Go. I'm computer/internet now.
  • It was Taboo and I was having a major meltdown because this guy on my team was doing all sorts of things with his hands and I can't understand hands, I understand words! From my Blog... Rules of Taboo Oct 9, 2006 | 1:58 PM Category: Entertainment Saturday night I was with a group of strangers that I met from the Internet... yes, you heard it right... Random crazy people get together with shared interest form groups and then socialize, eat/drink, play games with each other. One guy who came to the "game night" 20 minutes into watching us play Trivial Pursuit and not knowing what was going on. Don't understand why he didn't want to get in on it. He gets up and says at 8:00, "I would have stayed until 10:30 but I am going to leave now to pick up my daughter". Okay, so this is bizarre, that is what you get when strangers get together. Then there was a very nice guy on my team for Taboo, but he just didn't get the idea of the game. The name is Taboo and not "Charades". When he is giving clues, nothing is coming out of his mouth. Taboo is a WORD game. You are supposed to make people guess the word on the top of the card without saying any of the five TABOO words on the bottom. All night I kept begging this man, "please stop moving your arms around and making gestures, I have no idea what you are trying to convey please say something". Needless to say, my team was either so mentally challenged or constantly said a "taboo" word that I wanted to freak out on this guy and my own husband who was murdering our score. I am not a stickler for rules, but come on. http://boardgames.meetup.com/335/photos/?photoAlbumId=103039 Click on the link and you can see the pictures of the crazy night.
  • The game "Sorry" .. I think like three or four months ago.
  • like a month ago i played the Polly Pocket board game with my friend Dingo... She said i was the only guy she knew that would play it with her... I said "I'm the only guy you know who owns this board game!" same day we played Shark Attack and 13 Dead End Drive...
  • I played backgammon a few months ago. It is an ideal game for me as it combines luck and skill and demands thought, but is not so complex that you can't do other things like have a conversation at the same time.
  • Simpsons Monopoly - When it was first made
  • I'm a fiend for Scrabble. Played last night! Other board games at our house: my spousal equivalent is mad for BLOKUS and has gotten our whole circle of friends hooked on Apples to Apples: BLOKUS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blokus Apples to Apples http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apples_to_apples Dear One goes out to Games Night on Wednesdays, at a private home where they play poker as well as many, many, MANY board games -- and there's Coffee Night at a local cafe on Fridays, where everyone plays board games too. I only play at home, so I don't get quite as much hot board game action. :)
  • I played sorry with my son about 2 weeks ago.
  • On Friday I played Candyland with my five-year-old and my boyfriend. It was fun :)

  • i played the bratz game with my daughter the other day.
  • I played the pictionary board game last week with a load of friends. Trouble is, two of my friends are really competetive and they ended up falling out. I sort of regret suggesting that we played it now.
  • Pictionary, where you have to describe something with a drawing (about 2 months ago). It's amazing how the ability to draw well doesn't always mean you're going to win. It depends more on your team-mates intuition I think!
