Twice I had food poisoning where for 48 hours I thought for sure I die. I was sick once barely able to lay there without very bad pain and later found out that I had a kidney stone I was passing and it got hung up and caused my body to stop working right until I finally passed it.

Once I was prescribed sulfa drugs and didn't know I was allergic to them, I thought I would die when I broke out in hives. I had a kidney infection.

Yes. I had food poisoning also. I got it from eating at an all you can eat buffet. It was a few years before I could eat at that type of place again, and now I have to use Purell on my hands after going to the buffet line. Never know what is on a person's hands that use the tongs before you. My cousin also got food poisoning, and so did a couple other people that came into the hospital where I worked. I was nice and called the place to let them know there was a problem on the line. The manager offered me coupons for free meals. I declined. I NEVER wanted to eat at that place again. The only thing my cousin and I both ate was sausage, so it had to have been that what made us sick.

For the last 11 days yes..seriously. I have an infection that is getting the best of me and though today has been day it may not last but today was a good day.

I had some kinda 'killer' influenza in college in '74 that I remember to this day. My fever reached 104.5, which didn't impress my two buddies/roommates (in a cabin w/o any heat in the woods in Pennsylvania) who refused to go out to get me some orange juice. So I got up and drove to the store myself. That turned out to be a great thing, tho', because of the freezing cold when I returned, my fever had broken! ;-)

Ulcers in my stomach. Had so many they had to go in and revise it by cutting scar tissue.

Yes... it was a horrible cold, but it hit me so fast, i thought i was going to pass out, high fever aches and pains non stop coughing, i am just getting over it, still have the coughing no fever anymore but still feel like crap

Yes, I was in the hospital..my liver and kidneys had failed...my heart was starting to fail as well...nobody knew why...the doctors told my partner that I needed surgery but that I would not survive it...I remember going to sleep thinking that I was dying...oddly enough it didn't really bother me..I just wanted to rest...BUT that was 4 years ago and I am still here:)

I had thyroid cancer and after having major surgery I had to start chemo, I was so ill I didn't want to see another day and prayed that death would come quickly, it felt to me that it would have been easier to die, but thankfully I recovered after 3 years.

Eating Disorder (starving myself) cause by physical and emotional abuse, end up in the hospital 3 times.

An ovarian cyst ruptured when I was 14 or 15, and I was in terrible pain for about eight hours until I was finally booked in for surgery. I know it's not that serious a thing but after I'd had that pain for a while, I was desperate to be knocked out or killed to make it stop. (Not good with pain!)

I had influenza and double pneumonia at the same time. I was sick for nearly 2 months. And I also had an ovarian cyst that burst and dropped me like a rock to the ground and agony and I wanted to die for hours and hours. It happened 3 months in a row then just disappeared.

food poisining,drivig 400km back home after a weekend in durban and getting home and the town i live in only got water back on wednesday(i got home on sunday)not nice.
