  • What do suspiscious middle eastern men look like??? Thats the real problem.
  • I'd feel uneasy if I saw any group of SUSPICIOUS LOOKING people.. I don't care if they're middle-eastern, white, black or hispanic or any race..
  • Not at all.
  • Not at all.
  • I'd feel uneasy with any suspicious person boarding a plane. But your chances of dying in a car accident far outnumber you dying on a plane so I'm more afraid of the people I see on the roads everyday ><
  • define suspicious...if they guns and bombs strapped to them yeah...if they were wearing traditional Hijab then no.
  • I guess I might be a bit apprehensive if they didn't get searched with the rest of the passengers by security. I might also be concerned if they were to openly make comments in English regarding death to America, and the Infidels must die. Aside from things of that nature. I'd hope I wouldn't.
  • Heck no. I'm sure our law enforcement agents are just a tad over zealous about getting anyone profiled with the least bit of suspicious activity on the no-fly list. I spend my time hoping I haven't made it in error too! ; )
  • Nope. It wouldn't worry me.
  • Nope. There's no need to discriminate against someone who didn't have anything to do with the situation just because they are from the same racial group. That would make me no bettre than a cop who beats up a certain racial group or a storeowner who refused service to certain customers.
  • With all the accidents and bombings going on today you won't EVER see me on an airplane terrorists or not.
  • No, honestly I wouldn't. They have the right to travel with their friends just as everyone else.
  • Honestly I would initially feel uneasy because of all the garbage Ive seen on tv, but that wouldnt stop me from getting on the plane. And I dont mean to be racist or discriminate, it's just what we have all had pumping in our brains, terrorist this, terrorist that.. it's evil what TV does to ya I swear. To say no would be a lie, even though I would love to say no.
  • Wouldn't bother me. I know for a fact that airport security is ridiculous, considering that I SWEAR I'm on some list somewhere that says that I'm a terrorist. I get checked every time. And when I was 7, I had my shoes checked for bombs. -.- Apparently, this little republican from Nebraska is a terrorist. Makes sense.
  • Nope, terrorists come in all shapes, sizes and colours and I am sure I would never spot one.
  • No, I'd feel more nervous if Americans were on the plane who might overreact or react inappropriately to there being people from the Middle East on board.
  • That's exactly WHY I wouldn't be worried. Say I'm a terrorist. Now that us terrorists have a physical generalization to go by, if I wanted my plan to work, I would dress in a way that nobody would look at twice. I'm sure terrorists are far ahead of me with that, and let,s remember that not all of them are from the Middle East.
  • No, they're probably just on their way to their nephew's Bar Mitzvah.
  • I am so surprised to hear all the "no's" from everyone. Now I am going to feel terrible when I say yes! I would certainly feel nervous about it. Terrorists can be from anywhere, but the ones that did the damage were from the middle east. Of course I am going to notice!
  • No. I would probably pay little attention. I don't normally give people bording much thought. I am listening to my iPod until take off and then again afterwords. Or reading a book, playing my DS, pretty much anything to keep my mind busy.
  • ummm duh- i think people would keep their eye on them- but theyre prob ok- not all mid eastern men want to blow up planes ( just most of them- no no just kidding)
  • not at all! the only thing that scares me is Americans being so comfortable giving up their liberties for a little bit of security, entrusting the government to take care of them.
  • No. After 9/11, it would be very difficult to bring a plane down in the same manner.
  • A little. I wouldn't freak out, but I'd be lying if I said the thought wouldn't enter my mind.
  • I would feel nervous..
  • I might look at them and watch them for a time to gage if they looked nervous or not? But unfortunately... you can't label all people for the sins of a few. Just like muslims don't ALL look at Americans as fat, lazy, evil, greedy, pigs. Just our government...
  • if Tim Mcveigh did not make me frightened to go into office buildings after seeing gun obsessed white people hanging around and the belway sniper did not make me scared to hang around MD or VA after running into black army vets, i'm not going to think twice about people just trying to ride a plane.
  • I love these answers because I am a Palestinian Christian. I have lived in the US for the past 30 years but when someone asks me my nationality, I hesitate because I don't want them to think I am a terrorist.
  • No. Although I can not figure why these people come to America, a country they hate but want to live in, I do not think all of them are terrorist or have a self death wish. And they are not all dedicated to their home country or they would have not betrayed their own country, by moving to America. I see most Middle-Easterners as greedy, money grubbing , give me, selfish people. And , yes, I do pray about this, as i do not feel I should feel that way. but honesty. I will keep praying for my answer about my judgement here. I have no right to feel the way I do, but Ido feel that way.
  • yes, probably so.
  • i think all Americans have become more cautious and leery of a lot more here than just terrorists...but yes, probably would cross my mind...
  • No. For the same reason that I do not feel nervous everytime I see a group of Irish sounding people in a shopping centre. Because I have the common sense to know that not all Irish people are IRA terrorists planning an attack and not all middle eastern people are Al-Qaida terrorists. The fact also remains that that security is so tight at airports these days after the 9/11 attacks and 7/7 in UK I feel safer than ever. However. If I saw one Middle Eastern man, sitting there alone on a flight/bus/train obviously nervous as hell, praying quietly to himself and sweating profusely the thought of "suicide bomber" might cross my mind before probably crossing it of as a student nervous about his exam. I am no saint afterall. I live in a very cosmopolitan city in an area very close to an arabic/muslim community and next to 3 Universities and a Teaching hospital so I see a lot of Middle Eastern people and particularly young middle eastern men/women students that carry backpacks on a daily basis. These people are part of the community. I cannot afford to be paranoid that they are all terrorists otherwise I would be afraid to leave my home!
  • i dont think so. the security these days are much tighter so less of a chance of a 911 happening.
  • The last time I was about to board a flight I saw some suspicious muslims and I will admit I watched everything they did. There's no way im dying by there hands and I think people are right to suspect them as there the only people who go about blowing planes up in the name of some stupid religion. If they have a problem with being persecuted then they need only look in the mirror for someone to blame.
