Is there a good bit of money in breeding pomeranians? i think i want to start breeding, but just on the side, not like a puppy mill. i love animals.

Good money in Fancy Coats, but the blood lines go bad a LOT. SO if you can't bring your self to cull sick/weak dogs, ... Poms are very over, and In, bred, and when they are that small nature doesn't have a lot of room for reinforced delitiorus genes.

Breeding any animal calls for a knowledge of blood-lines in the breed and a good basic knowledge of the veterinary issues that could be expected. If you don't have this knowledge you should not breed - you will only be adding to the number of unwanted dogs that already exist. Far too many breeds have been ruined by indiscriminate breeding.

There's more profit in studding males than breeding the females. The females and puppies require more time, attention and veterinarian bills.
