I fancy making a lampstand out of empty coke cans - stand them on top of each other, and run the wire up the middle for stability. Then make a lampshade out of a red umbrella. (Actually, I have made a couple of lampshades - from stained glass - in one of them I included small spanners and little wrenches and washers into the cut glass design - to give it an industrial feel - it was used on a lamp base made from part of the engine of an old motor bike

As soon as I am done with this six pack of Sam Adams Cherry Wheat beer.....it will be lights out and I won't need a lamp shade ... :) or maybe......if the six pack hasn't done the job....I will attempt a tinsel shade from this dried out Christmas Tree's decor....
