  • Uhaul advertises super deals. We usually rent the uhaul trailers n they re reasonable. As for the truck they advertise something about 19.95 per day i guess it depends on the size of the truck but it cant hurt givin them a call, ou may lso want to try budget.
  • I've always used U-Haul their prices are the most reasonable (at least where I live they are).
  • U-haul generally, but I find that the customer service is terrible. We had a truck break down (luckily at our destination and not on the road) and called the 1800 number. We asked for a tow truck and they said they'd get to us the next day. That wasn't the crisis - being told I was going to have to pay for that day since I still had the truck was outrageous. I was LIVID. I even asked the customer service rep, "what ever happened to giving good service and the idea that the customer was always right?" She actually (not exaggerating here) replied "That's an old-fashioned idea. The tow will be there tomorrow." and hung up on me. Note - I did not cuss at her. After I was off the phone, well.... that was different.
  • so far, at least in my area, Budget rental is cheapest, esp for long distance.
  • If you moving any considerable distance you'd be well advised to go with a national company with a reliable network of facilities to respond to equipment problems. You cant go wrong with Ryder or Penske. You get what you pay for. If you want the absolute cheapest however, U-Haul or something like that might be OK.
  • 3-21-2017 Rental is not the major expense. Most of the cost goes for various charges such as mileage and using the hand truck they provide.
