    I'm sure you have found your answer, but I'm posting this anyway in case someone else has this problem. We had the same problem and were unaware we had to change the settings on our TV. You have to change the sound settings on the TV to HDMI. you shouldn't need the red/yellow audio cables if you have just the HDMI cable.
