  • The most valuable thing I'm doing before this holiday ends: From December 20, 2008 through January 5, 2009: Each and every day I am volunteering my time, energy, talent and the ability to communicate to and for the patients, their families, the staff and their families at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. The folks who have to be at Magee need something to do other than sleep, eat, go to therapy and watch TV. I'm at the Hospital's Jerry and Carolyn Segal Patient Resource Center and Library. Folks check e-mail on the computers; Have coffee, tea and hot chocolate; Borrow and return movies on DVDs; Borrow and return books; make copies. I mentor many patients. I'm there from about 8:45 AM to about 8:30 PM Monday through Thursday. I'm on a slightly reduced schedule on Friday through Sunday. I LOVE it! Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it! VTY, Ron Berue Yes, that is my real last name! Sources: Some observations and personal opinions. On a regular, dependable basis, I volunteer at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital 1513 Race Street Philadelphia, PA. "THE University of Hard Knocks" Also known as ("a/k/a") "life's valuable lessons".
