People thinking that dumbing down the education so that everyone in the class can graduate is progress.

  • When boys wear their pants below their underwear, when girls that are in 6th grade wear make up and look 16, when my daughter first started driving and I thought she wasn't old enough to drive yet. time flies!

  • When people vote base on what is "cool" and "fresh" rather than learning the issues and understanding the history of their own nation and the consequences of elections. In generations past people took seriously their civic duty, educated themselves on the issues, and took great care in who they cast their vote for with the well being of the nation at heart. Today too many are more interested in what they heard they can get out of the deal, what they saw on a bumper sticker or t-shirt, and what candidate is most likely to cut them a check.
