  • Resist temptaion of sin listen to God and not him
  • Dont dwell on hate.
  • You cant, cuz were only human.
  • I've heard that when tempted, yelling out: "Get *behind me*, Satan!" works ev'ry time! ;-)
  • Good question. The answer is you have to have the strength to step up to him and say no. Our minds are constantly at war with Satan over good and evil. It also helps to ask God for assistance.
  • Resist the temptation to sin, dont' act out on the temptation (its okay to be tempted, just don't have to act on it) pray to God for help!!
  • I pray
  • Tell him "Get back, honky cat!"
  • Don't bother, I usually get what I want.
  • When you think you are alone and you are being tempted to do something wrong You are not alone There are 3 beings there You, the demon tempting you, AND the angel giving you strength to resist Don’t think of temptation as an opportunity to fail Think of it as an opportunity to win To make the right choice God Always finds a way to get that last minute strength to you if you want it We all stumble the secret is getting back up again It is only a failure when you don’t get back up again
  • As Christians, we need to be aware of the reality of the presence of evil. As we struggle to stand firm in our faith, we must realize that the enemies we are up against are not merely human ideas, but real forces that come from the powers of darkness. The Bible says, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" Ephesians 6:12, NAS). In response to Satan's attacks, a Christian should hide under the covering of Christ. Instead of focusing on defeating the devil, we should focus on following Christ (Hebrews 12:2) and trust that He will defeat the forces of evil. It is not necessary for a Christian to rebuke Satan because God has given us His full armor to stand against evil (see Ephesians 6:10-18). The most effective weapons we have against the devil are our faith, wisdom, and knowledge about God and His Word. Even Christ, when tempted by Satan, did not rebuke him but answered him with Scripture (see Matthew 4:1-11). To gain victory in spiritual matters, we must maintain a clear conscience and have control over our thoughts. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). It's kind of a long answer to your question but you brought up a very important aspect of the Christian's life. Thank you for that.
  • I challenged him to a rock off and totally won
  • Shoot him. He hates that.
  • "Show courage and pray with your soul not for it!!"
  • STANT BEHIND ME SATAN.....problem is, he has a hard time making it to his next appointment. ever.
  • Jesus provided the answer when he was on the mountain after John baptized him. He resisted all that Satan and his world could offer him. It is written, worship only the Father , his Father in heaven. Satan fleed.
  • When Jesus was tempted, for example in the desert, He quoted Scripture. If I'm tempted a Bible verse can go through my mind like... 1 Corinthians 10:13 - "No temptation has taken you except what is common to men. But God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but along with the temptation he will also make the way out in order for you to be able to endure it." And I pray for God to keep me and help me. It's also very important to have a tight relationship with God to withstand temptations.
  • Lead a good life.
  • Not believing in God, Heaven, Satan, and Hell helps.
  • The same way I resist the tooth fairy, or the Super Hamster. There's nothing to resist. Just try to do the right thing by people. Don't blame some fictional bullcrap devil for people being evil. word to your mother.
  • You can't do it alone. If we could then we wouldn't need God. Our flesh doesn't deserve salvation anymore the day after we are saved than our darkest day. We can't do it alone, meaning without God or without each other. My suggestion would be to read (and apply) the first part of the verse you quoted. "Submit yourselves, then to God..." And I would read (and apply) the verse after. "Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded." Hope this helps! God Bless!!
  • Dont give in to the temptation he is dangling in front of you, speak temptation out of you in the name of Jesus. Remember Jesus' name is above all names, and as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ you have authority. 1 JOHN 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he (Jesus)that is in you, than he(satan) who is in the world.
  • Garlic and cloves.
  • I agree with love and Romans116. The best way to resit temptation and the devil is to banish it in the Name of Jesus.Psalm23: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+23. Another thought, read the 10 commandments everyday...should give you the ways of the Lord everyday and thereby you wont get tempted no more. The devil will stop tempting you when he notices that your faith is strong. Hope it helps
  • I think it might be easier to understand with another verse. I can't remember which one it was but it was in Psalms. It stated that 'to fear God is to hate evil' which I felt is how we can begin to fear God, and resist the devil. If we base all our thoughts and actions out of love, we cannot be sinning with those thoughts or actions, therefore we're honoring the Father and not sinning. LOVE is the answer =)
  • I live my life like there's no tomorrow...... runnin' with the devil (ahh-hah! yeah!)
  • Dont call him back, or answer his calls : )
  • STAND BEHIND ME SATAN
  • By allowing your love of God and man to rule your life.
  • one way to resist the devil is by opposing his independent attitude which he promotes in human beings. since the beginning he told eve that she could be independent from God. sadly she believed him and disobeyed the order to not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and bad. since then the human tendency is to think that we do not need God. this has been one of the biggest mistakes we can make. satan has been promoting this independent attitude since then, look at the world and where this way of thinking has gotten us!
  • it took Jesus 40 days to prepare HIS resistence to the temptations the devil threw at HIM...HE was even hungry and weary but HE did, showing it will be no easier for us...we resist satan or follow him in our every action of right and wrong EVERYDAY..it is very easy to fall off the resistence path..tell a lie, and it begins to get easier and easier, til u've actually succumbed to satan..and he's laughing at us all.every single time we let bad in..thats his job and he succeeds easier and easier these days..we seem to be raising our kids even to be free to do as they wish, rebel.Satan was the utimate REBELLER and LIAR:)justme
  • Bitch slap him till he buggers off!
  • By saying no and crossing your legs
  • Yes, but she can't resist me
  • Christians are exhorted: “Put on the complete suit of armor from God that you may be able to stand firm against the machinations of the Devil.”—Ephesians 6:11 Christians must also contend with this world that lies “in the power of the wicked one,” Satan the Devil. Concerning it, the apostle John wrote: “Do not be loving either the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him; because everything in the world—the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever.” (See —1 John 2:15-17; 5:19) Unless we exercise self-control and strongly resist any tendency to love the world, we will succumb to its influence. That is how we resist the devil. See this link for more good advice: http://www.watchtower.org/e/20051115/article_02.htm
