  • Both can be beneficial,if you get the balance right.A homecare baby must still learn to mix with others as it grows, maybe in a mother & toddler group..At the same time,a daycare baby should recieve positive input and extra time spent with their parents.Homecare babies can become too "sheltered" whilst, due to the demands of work and parents being tired, daycare can almost be a replacement for parenting in many cases..Get the balance right and either can work well for you. :)
  • I think daycare because it toughens them up and helps them be social and they learn to share well most of the time
  • The daycare caregiver could be very loving..the homecare caregiver might be aloof and mentally not there. Also..there is some benefit to a child developing social skills and a certain independence..this happens of necessity in daycare and may be delayed with homecare. In addition, the daycare child learns that mommies can do more than stay at home..it gives them more things to admire about her. So there is no easy answer to this question in my opinion. Too many variables..positive and negative on each side of the equation. :)
  • Homecare because "A villiage CAN NOT raise a child"! My daughter said that homecare becuase their is an emotional detachment when others raise your child.
  • Depends on the quality of the daycare and the quality of the home. Could be either one.
  • Homecare baby without question. I am not completely opposed to daycare but NOT full time and definitely not for a baby. The baby needs it's mother or parent for the frequent attention and nurturing for a well based sense of security. A daycare teacher, even a very good one, cannot provide that while caring for a group of babies.
  • i think they can both be beneficial
