  • Easily! Just make up your mind that a positive approach to arisings is ALWAYS beter than a negative one. Never falter, and be satisfied that someone else may just realise the advantages eventually. I'm an optipist, which I define as someone who believes that he can find the best way out of pessimistic situations. Keep it up!!!

  • You are in control of your thoughts. You don't have to listen to or believe or allow what other people say or do influence how you think or feel. If you are asking me how I deal with it, I can give you a few ideas: - If you can, get away from it if it is a person or change channels if it is the TV - If it is the world in general, surround yourself with positive things and DO positive things. Every positive thing you do will make a difference in the world, believe it or not. - Allow yourself to learn how to tune it out and read or watch or think about much more positive things or visualize more lovely and beautiful things, or listen to positive music. It is always going to be a struggle as long as you allow what happens outside your control to influence you. When you "take control," (of yourself) you allow the rest of the people to say and do what they want, whether you see it or view it as negative or positive, then you are set for life. Whatever happens, you flow with it, and create your own positive spin on things, and with that approach, the negativity does not need to enter your mind but for a second, or your world but for moments. And you can make the best of what is now and I am sure always will be, a difficult world in which to live. Remember: You can gain and learn control of what you want to see, do, feel be, say and experience. Shoot for the love, and the light in life and let others do as they wish. You will be far better off if you can learn to do this and practice it until it is automatic.
  • I find it difficult. I have to find a way to break away from that negativity, and to be around more positive people. For example, if I worked with negative people, I would make even more of a point to have lunch with friends who are that much more positive.
  • It sounds textbook, but meditation and breathing techniques work. So, while breathing and meditating chant to yourself- something to tune of, "These people are crazy and I am not. These people are crazy and I am not." It works. I do it all of the time.
