Did you call them by their first names when you saw them twice? Whatever you called them then is how you should address them.
-
That's a tough one. If you are on a first-name basis with them when you are together, then it would be fine. I'm guessing you're not, so I'd just go with Mr./Mrs Whatever;)
-
Even when I am mailing out Christmas cards to my family and close friends I always address them Mr. and Mrs. Joe Blow, I never put the wifes first name, but that is just me.
-
I would always go more formal and respectful. Then they can tell you "oh no, call me _____" and you are homefree. If you go with the informal and familiar and they come back with "Mr. ____ to you" then you are off on the wrong foot. If you marry this guy, you don't want to start of with in-law issues.
-
When you met, did they invite you to address them by their first names? If not, I would address the envelope "Mr. & Mrs." and I would make the salutation "Dear Mr. & Mrs.". Happy Tuesday! :)
-
I would go with Mr. and Mrs. _______ on the card.
-
If you've only met them twice I would think Mr. and Mrs.____________ is more appropriate!
-
Yes, until they request that you address them otherwise. It's better to be too formal than too informal.
-
i would play it safe and refer to them as Mr. & Mrs.
-
If they were introduced to you as his parents (e.g., "...my mom and dad") then I'd address them by their surnames. If they were introduced to you by their first names then go with that. However, if you can get out of writing the card altogether then go with that. :p My wife and I haven't stood on that formality and the impact on our relationship has been nada.
-
Heck no on the first names. Show them tons of respect and go with the last name. They'll love it!!
-
you should always show respect, and address the card Mr and Mrs. the inside will reflect how the relationship is going. Mr and Mrs - all times, until later First names - steady to engaged. mom and dad - engaged to married.
-
I would definately go for Mr & Mrs. There is nothing worse than being too familiar - It could offend them. Make your greeting warm but polite.
-
no, go for the Mr. & Mrs. blah blah
-
