I don't, but I make sure that they see that I am looking... I know that don't help much but sometimes they get ashemed of what they done.
-
If that person was someone on my table then yes - if on a different table then I would quietly get up and go find the manager. I can't stand rudeness it costs nothing to be polite, even if you have a complaint.
-
Yes! I have waited tables so I know its hard work, Ive had a-holes make me cry, so I usually defend the waitress, unless they totally suck.
-
Yes I probably would. I can't stand it when people do that.
-
Yes, I do.
-
I f they are being exceptionaly rude yes i would say something...
-
only if they were seated at my table! otherwise, i would turn and glare at the rude person, getting my point across with my icy silence
-
Yes, I did last night
-
If the person was at my table, absolutly. If they were a total stranger, porbably not, unless it got a bit out of control...... I would certainly try to make them feel bad about behaving in such a way... that is, unless the waitress/waiter is being a twit, in which case they need a good talking to!
-
I would...but I have been in the industry for 13 years...so I might be biased
-
No but I would expect my boyfriend to.
-
I would if the waiter or watress was being haggled, that means they were being picked on, I cant see something like that, it annoys me!
-
Oh yes! I can't find it in myself to keep my mouth shut. I think that everyone should have to wait tables at some point in their lives to keep this very thing from happening! Maybe if they walked a mile in someone else's shoes they would be a little pickier about who they were rude to.
-
Depends on the situation, etc.
-
No, that's not my place unless it is disrupting my meal. If the waiter or waitress can't cope I may fetch the manager if he/she's around.
-
Maybe to the server. Maybe to the manager. Pointless to tell an A hole what he is - he would never believe it.
-
Would and have. It's embarrassing.
-
I am 6'2" 225. I just usually have to approach them and they knock it off.
-
I have & will continue too!!
-
Some at your table or just someone in general?
-
i hope i would, i certainly would want to but it all depends on what that person is like, they might be really evil looking and capable of murder... i guess it really depends on the circumstances.
-
More than likely no, the waitress can walk away and get her manager.
-
If I am by myself i might say something. if i was with a date i would look the other way. but i would be a good witness in a court battle.
-
I play up the crippled angle, then accidently knock their food into their lap. Sorry, cripple lost his balance, LMAO. Then I make sure to tip her very well. A couple of the staff at my local Denny's have caught on, but no one else.
-
I would make fun of the jerk. Make sure he heard what the rest of us were thinking. And especially make sure to say what the waitress is thinking. Don't think me a philanthropist, it's my sick sense of humor that enjoys teasing people. I love a good opportunity such as this. ;)
-
I'm lucky. As a part-time bouncer, I not only get to speak up. I get to bounce their ass out on to the street, if ncessary.
-
maybe
-
No, I would more likely embaress myself. I'd just give the customer a dirty look. If someone was being rude in a surgery waiting room, that's another story.
-
Only if I cared enough to, or if it even seemed like my place to do so.
-
Yes. There is no reason to be rude to someone who is serving you. All work has dignity. People who inflate their egos in this manner should stay home.
-
I would probably say something to the waitress or waiter later. If they were doing a great job, I'd tell them WE appreciate the great job they're doing for us and THANKS!
-
If it bordered on being abusive and devolved into a harangue, probably Jim would intervene. If it were just extreme rudeness, we wouldn't get involved but we would report it to the manager. Someone that impolite could be a loose cannon just waiting to go off..better to have management deal with it. :)
-
Yes, I would. I hate rudeness.
-
Usually. Depends upon just HOW rude they were being. Sometimes I will simply be extra courteous to the waiter or waitress to make up for the other customer's rudeness.
-
If they were at my table, I'd say "come on, that's a bit rough, don't you think?". Otherwise, I'd give them a dirty look or comment to someone at my table how much of a jerk the person is acting like.
-
If they was at another table no. I would defitnitely make sure I bring the right people.
-
Sure would, don't want any foreign substances in my food because of someone elses' lack of common sense.
-
only if it was interferring with my experience. That is between them.
-
I use to. MAybe if I was with a friend? Never with my wife and family, too many unstable people now days. Chef Stern, Red Lion food Trainers
-
That depends on what the behavior was. If it was over the top disrespectful, then yes.
-
I wish I could :(
