    Write in the tone of the invitation Informal message - write like you're happy to attend Formal - Use similar wording to the invitation And Super Formal (Wedding & that) use very few words as run on notes get old fast for them. Its basically just the facts for these messages. Lastly do not write full letters in regarding an invite. Send letters in a separate envelope. As to format, follow the lead of the invite. And definately do not write more than 10 lines in a return message. Unless the invite dones.
