  • Yes, I think so for an example people like Hitler will be in one of the hottest places in hell and people like John the Baptist will be in a higher place in heaven.
  • It is called purgatory.
  • The in between can mean many things- it can also serve as an excuse to ignore the chance of decision now that many have to face and ask themselves- AM I GOOD ENOUGH FOR HEAVEN? will heaven have me? Many wish to go to heaven- but have they consider themselves worthy enough? A soul has many reasons for their actions and behaviour- many seems honorable- some only to themselves because they are not able to see the whole picture- because we do not have a bird's eye view of everything in our lifes and of those around us- we tend to do things that will benefit us more or maybe in the name of goodness- but sometimes our good intentions may be more harmful than we think. So what we say, think or do are feeble attempts to get an honorable entry ticket- esp if a man kills someone because he thinks he doing someelse a favor! The good and bad is best judge by God who sees and knows all things. His patience is longsuffering and he is merciful to the weak. What I have is two rules- Motive and Actions. Testing myself if it were sincerely done for the best of all and not only for myself..that will make me sleep better..for my heart is being searched by God. And most of all saying and admiting that I can do wrong..so can others like me needs mercy and grace - forgiveness and acceptance into God's light again.
  • It sure does seem that way, doesn't it? I mean, there should be at least the amount of personally finely-tuned paradises or quasi-paradises as Baskin Robbins has flavours of ice cream, no?! ;-)
  • As you are aware of the fact that you have only two options to look forward to - heaven or hell - you will be okay. The fact that you are aware you are niether totally good or bad will make your progress towards being better an easier one. I am sure you will soon find the heaven in this earth itself long before the assured heaven later. I am sure you will not seek out the hell yourself. Good Luck.
  • tell yourself anything you want to believe now, does it give you peace?
  • Possibly, but heaven isn't a merit-based reward. Heaven is God's home. If you are friends with Him, you get to stay there with Him. It's a true case of "it's not what you know, but WHO you know".
  • From an Islamic point of view, yes there are different levels in heaven and hell.
  • There are as many levels as you can imagine, but don't forget, these things are all in your imagination to begin with. Some think they actually know for sure that there are 7 levels of heaven, but that is only because they trust a book.
