I always give points to a question I answer :-) It must be helpful/interesting/funny, or I would not have bothered answering it :-p

I do, all the time, sometimes pages and pages of others answers. It takes time. Usually the only time I don't work through the other answers to a question I am answering is when I am posi-trolling someone. I think it is also important to make an effort to recognize all anwers to ones questions. It's easy to miss some as they grow older or you are away for a while but if someone took the time to answer a question you asked I think you should have respect enough to go back and show your appreciation.

I give points 99% of the time. I admit I do forget at times. If the person answers my question I will ALWAYS give at least 1 point. I think people think (especially the newer ones) that if they you 5 points, they lose 5 points out of their total or maybe they think they only get 100points per week total and want to save them for their friends. I don't know but I wish people would learn that they are NOT losing anything by giving points

Been here for year and a half and haven't died yet. I always give points to questions I answer, even questions that are rude, insensitive and biased if I answer it. I give points to questions I'm just curious about, as well, even if I don't know the answer. How about you?

No, it never killed me. I usually give the questioner points. Later, if I check back, I give points to good answers too, but when I have omitted points for whatever reason, I haven't died.

Probably not. I just consider that people asking questions are mainly interested in getting their questions answered. Points is not a main part of the process. So I rarely give points together with an answer. But I give points after I have got some kind of reaction to my answer.
