  • Usually this is either a video driver problem, power supply problem, or overheating problem. Do these things and see if it acts the same way: 1) Change the video driver 2) Run a stress test (or the game that faults) on the computer while running a temp monitoring utility. 3) Run a stress test (or the game that faults) while monitoring voltages with a multimeter and see if anything drops below spec. Between these 3 things, you will likely find the culprit. Switching out components 1 at a time is just as easy if you happen to have spares lying around.
