I do set my alarm clock faster, then hit the snooze knowing I have a few more minutes to sleep
-
yep...i am a procrastinator so the extra time helps me out.
-
My radio alarm is two minutes fast. My bedside alarm clock is 17 minutes fast. My car clock is 4 minutes fast. My phone is two minutes fast. Now, my watch has both analogue and digital, but whilst the analoogue is about spot on, my digital runs slow and loses about twenty minutes every day. So my clock can be accurate and 3 days wslow at the same time. So, all in all, I'm kept on my toes, and still manage to be late for most things.
-
Yes. I set my alarm clock 15 minutes fast. But then again it take me 15 minutes to get up, so I wind up being right on time.
-
Clock on lounge wall is 5 min fast, alarm clock is 15 min fast, car clock is 7 min fast, mobile phone & video - right on time. I like to be on time (and am usually never late anywhere), but my partner has trouble getting up in the mornings, so it helps him to be on time a bit more. I like being confused first thing in the morning about the time, as it gets me out of bed from worry of being late. :)
-
yes. i was taught young it's best to be early.
-
I do by a few minutes, but it never helps me all the same, it is more an excuse to sleep in longer.
-
great question. yeah, i set my clocks 10 minutes ahead. i'm a hugge procrastinator
-
The clock in my car is set 7 minutes fast. I do this because in my very tiny mind, I think it helps me to get to work on time.
-
No. I am pedantic about accuracy. I have several radio-controlled clocks and watches which are *exactly* right, and I set others to within a minute of that.
-
I do set my clocks fast; however, my mind quickly does the calculation for the real time. I then hit the snooze button again. I'm not sure why I even bother to set it ahead. Support the return of the avatar: http://www.answerbag.com/.../111472

Yes, I set my watch 5 minutes fast so I don't miss the train in the morning. It works.
-
Yup, the clock in my car is 7min fast, helps me get places on time. I'm usually a punctual person anyways.
-
Yes! But only a couple minutes in the car and five on the alarm clock. I just hate being late. I don't mentally adjust for the fast clocks. I pretend they are accurate and am almost always on time.
-
yea I set 1 clock 15 minutes fast in the bedroom an another in the living room 30 minutes fast..the 30 minute faster clock always freaks me out makes me think im going to be late to work...so I hurry
-
Absolutely. i had rather be early, than late. this applies to meetings, work or a date. People who continually are late for everything, do not manage their time as they should. i plan everything. my daughter does not. beats me how she makes it in life. i love her, but that girl is late, always late. All my clocks are approx. 6 minutes ahead of the actual time. this allows for any interference from traveling from point a to point b.
-
I set mine about 7 to 9 minutes fast. That way it makes my brain think first thing in the morning and gets me to wake up.
-
yes, or else i'm rushing and forgetful and this way if i forget something important i can always come back for it without being late.
-
No. If I did, I would forget which was the correct time. This only serves to confuse, and provides a false comfort.
-
In the car yes. At home, no.
-
the one in my car is fast so that i don't stray off to mcdonalds for breakfast in the morning because i think i'm running late!
-
I do,and it get's on my friend's nerves !
-
The clock in my car is ten minutes fast, but I still manage to be late to work. I suppose it's because I allow myself extra time, knowing full well that the time I see is not the correct time.
-
yes, it drives my husband crazy. I love it.
-
Yes, by 10 minutes at home and 15 minutes in the car
-
My bed side clock is 10 minutes fast, my watch is 5 minues fast and I'm always 15 minutes late.
-
yes, i have my alarm clock set 30 minutes ahead, because then when i wake up in the morning i dont feel as lazy because it seems i have much less time then i do. It makes me get up and into action quick.
-
I keep the one in my bedroom about 5 min faster.
-
Yes!!!
-
I used to have my watch set 5 minutes faster but I then preferred to put it in the exact time, because it was nonsense to have a watch a bit faster when I knew how faster it was.
-
I set my bedside clock a little ahead.
-
Yes... 7 minutes fast.
-
Yes theonly timepiece I ever keep on the correct time is the wristwatch that I am wearing. I have a time phobia and just must not be late, bit like the White Rabbit
-
yes, i set mine to be about five min. ahead of normal time. my boss at work told everyone that they had to be on time for work and out on the floor by his time.(i work in retail)
-
Yes, to be truthful in my bedroom my husband has the digital alarm clock beside the bed set, thirty minutes ahead of time so he can lie and hit the snooze button over and over again...I have another digital clock on the shelf that says the correct time. Thank goodness!!!
-
5 minutes fast.
-
no, i have perfect time keeping abilities.
-
12 minutes fast, but swear to god, I'm running late every morning, by at least 5 minutes. I've learned to calculate what time it really is easily, so I sleep in more.
-
Yes and I am still ALWAYS late.
-
The clock in my room used to be 17 minutes fast. It's right now though, it never woke me up anyway.
-
I set my watch to the correct time so that I know what time it actually is, but I set my clocks about 5 minutes fast so that I leave on time when I am going somewhere.
-
of course, i set it 15 mins. ahead of time
-
In spanish class, where the clockface is exposed. usually by ten muinutes when the teacher isn't looking.
-
No ,when I do I always feel I'm a little behind my time
-
YEAH I JUST HATE BEING LATE BUT SOMETIMES IM FAR TOO EARLY AND THATS A PAIN TOO.
-
yes a few minutes to give those of Italian blood in the house a fighting chance...LOLOL
-
Seven minutes fast. That's the leeway they give us at work to punch in. Seven minutes before the hour or seven minutes after. Before or after and you get docked your bonus hours. What a way to pay for devotion huh?
-
I set my alarm about 1/2 an hour ahead, just so i drive myself crazy!
-
Yeah, I set my alarm clock faster than real time, because then I think I have less time to get ready. Gets me out of bed like nothing else will. Not even waffles...
-
Yes, I do, but then when the alarm goes off, I figure in my head what time it REALLY is. I guess I defeat my purpose. LOL
-
Yes and it drives me MAD! So one night i put all the clocks in the house to the right time and everyone was late for work. Taught them a lesson. Theres no need to put your clock 15mins ahead when you know it is! Grrrrrrrr
-
Yes but I dont know why I bother as I always remember its a little bit fast anyway.
-
My alarm clock is about two or three minutes fast. It used to be more but I have weened myself closer to actual time.
-
All of my clocks are a head by twenty minutes. I hate to be late and I'm a really bad procrastinator so I need that jolt to get going.
-
No, I set my clocks for the exact time.
-
yes i do to rid my house of unwanted guests sooner and to get to work earlier.im a procrastenator so it works quite well
-
my is about 15 fast , but 2 years ago when i was still working , it was set to be 45 min fast . realy.
-
alwayz. i have my watch set exactly to my school's time, all the way to the second. but my alarm clock 15-20 minutes ahead. i never like to set it to a certain time ahead, so i don't know how far ahead it is. that way, if i just follow it, i'll alwayz be on time, instead of saying, it says this time, so it's really this time, so, techincally, i have __ more minutes. lol. yeah, but my mom sets her clock half an hour ahead. i thought it was a little much. but hey, to each his own....
-
i do find some people doing that..........forgive me for being harsh.......i think its so stupid
-
Yes, it helps me get up faster like this.
-
Yes I do on my alarm clock, but only 2 minutes. That way instead of laying around in bed like I'm inclined to do, it gets me moving by not allowing me to procrastinate more than 2 minutes.
-
No, I like to be accurate and I arrive on-time. Too many people do this and still are late because they say they have extra time.
-
Yes, but not purposefully, it's just a couple minutes or seconds fast?
-
Yes, I set my clocks ten to 1 minutes fast. It helps keep me prompt and on time for appointments and work. I know, I know ... yes, I know they are set up faster than the actual time, but somehow it still helps me stay on time. Also, in the morning when my alarm first goes off, I know I have an extra 10 minutes or so to sleep in.
-
I set mine 5 minutes fast so I don't miss school and can Get ready for doctor who!
-
Of course. And it drives my husband crazy. I don't really know why.
-
At home I set all the clock in my house up about 10 minutes because my husband oversleeps alot & causes me to be late with getting my son to school on time. At least now he's not late & don't get D-Hall because his step dad wanted to sleep in. I have a clock beside of me & my hubby so he can get up & he doesn't know he 10 minutes early.
-
I don't, but I know people who do. It really gets on my nerves.
-
Yes and I try to change the time frequently so I can't remember how fast it is. I am a habitual procrastinator and need to trick myself to get anywhere on time
-
no coz the my bod clock goes all out of whack.
-
I don't but my teacher does so we can get to the next class faster.
-
YUPPER, I DO! I have to really struggle to stop doing things...and just leave when I need to go somewhere. I don't actually use an alarm clock...I wake up usually what ever time I want to and as long as there is coffee forthcoming in a timely manner I'm good to go... But, I do have challenges, stopping this, that and the other...to physically go NOW! lmao
-
no. I rely on the normal time
-
nah,i don t have to,i ve got half a dozen clocks in the house and every one of them is reading a different time, including the two radio contolled atomic clocks.
-
Yes of course im a band mom ,and as my eldest son says on time is late.
-
Only in the bedroom.
-
We do. It helps us have some extra time, plus we never run late!
-
Yes I do.
-
no i cant see the point of it you know its however mins late so youknow what time it relly is!!!
-
Not only do I set my clocks ahead, I set my calendar ahead, too. Guarantees that I finish Christmas shopping on time. But I wonder why everyone keeps telling me I'm way too early when I show up for my appointments.
-
only the bedroom clock - the tv vcr has to be exact with the phone time
-
No I hate being late so for the clack to be advanced would be needless pain!
-
No, because I would 'know' they were fast and automatically adjust the time in my head.
-
Yes, I do. 5 minutes faster.
-
Yes I do and have no clue why...hahahaha
-
my alarm clock is 3 minutes ahead.
-
No. My car clock is only because I can't remember how to reset the damn thing!
-
yeah --- I try to trick my mind into the Extra 10 minutes on my Wake Up alarm. Doesn't REALLY work though.
-
No, I never do that. I like to know the exact time.
-
yes the one in the vehicle is 10 mins. fast. +5
-
i do, i am always haven to take my boy to a doctor or school and its hard to be on time with a baby so i set all my clocks 15 to 20 min. fast so im not late.
-
Holy crap NO! It bugs me when I cannot get them all set perfect to the correct time. Beau sets his clocks a few minutes fast. I talked him into letting me set the clock on the stove to 'Chanda Time' so I know what time it REALLY is while I'm there.
-
I set all my clocks 5mins fast and im still always late!!
-
my morning clock, its like im 'fooling' myself what the time is, its stupid cos i know its fast and think to myself, its 10 minutes early, i can have a snooze, so in the end there isnt really any point
-
No, but my husband does and we go round and round about it...
-
No.
