'Prozac Nation' by: Elizabeth Wurtzel. Simply because it is the story of my life. I can't explain to you in words how much this is a depiction of my life, from when I was a baby. Wow. I've never come across a book so damn perfectly depictive of me. But it's also a great book for those who like true stories, those who like books about 'crazy people'...who aren't very crazy, they just have some mental disprders and personal issues...stuff like that. It's a really really great book. And its sequel 'More, Now, Again' is equally amazing, but more detailed on the drug abuse and such. Great reads, both of them. I look forward to reading more of Elizabeth Wurtzel's work. :)

The Wind-up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami It has a wonderfully absurd plot, yet the mystery in the narrative is as compelling as any "traditional" plot. There are a few stories within stories and at three seperate times in the book, people spend time at the bottom of a well. If you like the writings of Paul Auster, Witold Gombrowicz or Kazuo Ishiguro you will love The Wind-up Bird Chronicle!
