  • DR's for this? Seriously people? It's a totally valid question. I would feel pretty shitty.
  • Would feel very angry and like a second class citizen.
  • I don't think it would bother me one bit if the government didn't recognize my marriage. My husband and I made a commitment to each other before God. That's all that matters to me.
  • Well there is one perfectly valid reason and one iffy reason: 1. I'm not old enough 2. I'm gay Really I just accept the fact that I can't, never really been crazy about marrige anyway.
  • wow... this question was down rated. I hope those people come back and give a good reason why. This is a perfectly valid question! to answer your question.. I'd feel like any common animal who had no rights. However.. that wouldn't stop me from loving the person I chose to be with for the rest of my life. It's between myself and God, not the government.
  • Relieved when and if I decided to get divorced from that same person.
  • Bad. But I wouldn't be in this situation, I don't think.
  • Protected, marriage is over rated, all it does is show you someones true self and you end up wishing you hadn't gotten married anyway after thousands of dollars spent on lawyer fees and a headache that won't stop.
  • Not good.
  • I would be okay with it, I dont want to get married. However, for the adults that do want that, it should be available for them.
  • Well, for some people the "traditional" marriage that Americans celebrate is a big exciting experience. To not be able to perform such a sentimental act would be very heartbreaking. I feel that theres always a way around an obstacle. The obstacle may be unsightly to overcome but, you just have to keep looking forward and have a winning attitude. As for the legal part, that is still a very big step in the "traditional marriage. you are bound to each other legally, that's why it's a big step, saying "I Do" if you didn't go the legal way with a license than what would stop either of you from just moving around from spouse to spouse like boyfriend and girlfriend.
  • I think that SUCK's and promotes hate. To not let two people that love each other marry because of some barbaric superstition thousands of years old is insane!
  • i wouldn't care. ..can't hold them if they want to go anyway. Don't have to split half the bills... Marriage doesn't mean what it used to anymore.... We are now just party A and Party B..... A mere contract between 2 people...like buying a car...or a house.. see the new marriage certificates.... http://www.massresistance.org/docs/marriage/romney/mass_marriage_license.html lets just make it so nobody can get married anymore...that will settle everything.
  • As if I were a second class citizen.
  • Pissed and I would do what I could to change the situation.
  • funny thing is...i've been married 20 yrs. so being married is more of a heart thing than a paper thing to me. paper binds you, but the heart keeps you.
  • It wouldn't bother me..as long as I could be with them!!
  • I wouldn't let it bother me. If I could be around them everyday married or not I would just be happy to be there. A gold ring isn't always neccessary.
  • Quite simply, I would hate it.
