  • Hi Ron, there isn't much I like about winter except that there are no bugs and I don't have to mow grass. I love summer. My clothes are not warm enough to stay out long in the cold and besides, when it gets hot I can take them off a lot easier. Thanks for the question buddy! Nancy

  • It helps build up supplies of fresh water for later. It activates many plants and seeds to grow or sprout later. It's a wonderful rest for the land. It makes for beautiful scenery and light.
  • exercise of shoveling snow - seriously, after years away in Tucson, where winter means a light frost overnight and 60's or 70's and blessed rain showers, I lost about 20 pounds last winter due to shoveling.
  • 6-16-2017 warm water floats on top of cold water, but only above 38F. Below 38F, cold water floats on warm. So every fall, all the lakes roll over. That carries oxygenated water down to the bottom so the fish can live there while the surface freezes. In the spring, the lakes roll over again, bring lots of food to the surface to feed insects and baby fish. If the rollover didn't happen, all the lakes would be frozen at the bottom and dead all the time.
  • Christmas! I love celebrating the birth of Christ and giving gifts! Snuggling and hot chocolate! And the cold weather kills mosquitoes and other pests.
