We're setting up a database with information on parents (occupation, interests, hobbies), and we use that for "drafting" them for certain activities. Of course we have commitees on just about everything; sports, traffic, head-lice. For every class we have two (or three) parents who have time available during school hours for support during special activities. They also make perfect Birthday-Hat-moms. I think your journal idea is great, but will it reflect the child or the parents?

I'm a member of our state PTA, as well as our school's parent support group. I'm not really active in the PTA, like I when our older kids were in school, but the support group is awesome. It's an online message board where we can chat about struggles, or enrichment activities, set up play dates, etc...

Yeah,yeah, yeah. They drive me crazy with freakin' projects, lol! I will not, repeat will not help with Dr. Seuss Day this year. Anything but that.
