  • Because every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.
  • Cos all things are equal in life. With good comes bad. There cannot be an unbalancing of JUST good, or JUST bad. Therefore, the good will always end...just as the bad will always end too.
  • They don't. Circles are good things. :-p
  • I hope this will lift your spirit. smiling, from a personal view point created memories are the beginning of no end. Years ago I began to do things that I had never thought of, for instance Camping!, traveling distance lands, this enhanced my ability to accept that people were and have differences and that is o.k. Going back to college gave me a different perspective of life's beginning and how I wanted it to end. We may not be able to stop good things from ending, but we can make good memories that will never end.
  • I don't think they always do. I think that quote was made up by someone who had something they liked very much END. And they became abit hurt, sad, and bitter perhaps. I know alot of things that don't come to an end, until they die if they are things that die. And that is inevitable, but other things live on and on.
  • It sucks sometimes,I know. But every time a good thing comes to an end, another good thing starts. That's the way I like to look at it.
  • It's like when one door closes another door opens, I understand it to mean we should expect nothing to last forever therefore we are never disappointed and we should always prepare for a new beginning in areas of our life. I have had many endings and new beginnings, It's all good. Trust me I hate when good things come to an end.
  • To make room for the next good thing. One door closes as another opens.
  • Everything has a beginning and an end it is like the seasons of the year a natural cycle, it will renew and become good again. Bad things come to an end too. At least this is what I hope happens. Our life has a beginning and an end like any other journey just differs in how long the journey is and what class you have travelled
  • Just like all bad things come to an end too. Nothing is permanent on the earth. Joy, sadness, happiness, pain all are temporary state of life.
  • If you're talking about "OUR" perceptions of good, then let me answer your question first by asking one. If you were born into a world where everything was white, would you know what white was? Everything needs contrast; white needs that which is not white in order to be white, hot needs cold, pleasure needs that which is not, and good needs that which isn't good. It's this relativity that provides the necessary dynamics for things to register upon us. If you continue to do something you like, eventually your perception of pleasure will diminish as it becomes the single stimuli that registers upon you, but if you stop and do something completely different, and come back to it again later, you'll experience that pleasure again. Therefore, good things must come to an end in order to remain good. But, in terms of good things existing in their own right, in a state of "goodness", I don't think they do come to an end. They remain constant.
  • Because all things that are not God, eventually must end.
  • Well, All good things come to an end because God knows that there good, But he knows there is someone there suffering because of that activitie or ex. Like when I was younger, I was in a softball league. There was this one girl that was on my team I defintley felt bad for her because she didn't like it at all! But on the last day she was happy as a sunshine!
  • Everything has a begining and an end. Just like life and death. You should not be in despair when its over but happy it ever happened. the end.
  • GOOD DOESN'T COME TO AN END. What does come to an end is evil.
  • - People suck= Ignorance, stupidity, Injustice, Self-service, Sacreligion, and last but certaily not least, ideologies. (In with the new, out with the old.)
  • Because too much of a good thing wouldn't be a good thing anymore. Aren't good things really things you look forward to? If you had to constantly eat your favorite ice cream all day long everyday at every meal it might not seem so good after awhile. If you got to sleep 24 hours a day you would want to get up and out after a while. We love our families but sometimes need time away from them to realize we love them more. The thing I believe about the examples I've given is this....some people NEVER get enough of the truly good things to want them to end.
  • So a new, different, good thing can come around in its place.
  • so you can start new good things
  • Because, no matter how good something is, someone will feel the need to 'improve' on it or commercialize it, ruining it for everyone to the point that no one thinks it is a 'good thing' anymore.
  • Like a good book, the ending brings all the loose ends together and gives us the opportunity to step back and reflect. Not only will there be other good books, but there can be a sequal to the one that you have just completed. If it does not come from the author, you can create your own, if only in your own imagination. One thing leads to another and nothing that has ever been real ever completely disolves into nothingness. Every memory creates a ripple which takes on a life of its own. Love is life-giving and beget more love. It has been happening since the first man and woman loved each other and brought new life into the world. It has just be passed on and multiplied.
  • So the good things can be appreciated.
  • bcoz it will be boring if you'll do same things all your life?
  • So there can be new beginning's
  • Because nothing is meant to live forever except the cockroach.
  • because everything comes to an end eventually
  • exactly :)
  • so you know how bad feels, so when good comes again it's even better. thats just how I always figured it...
  • well of course all good things come to end but if you really think about it all bad things come to end too....its the cycle of life..things come and go
  • if it didn't end you would get bored of it and then it wouldn't be a good thing?
  • because comming to an end is what makes it a good thing. if it didn't it would just be some regular old thing
  • If all good things lasted for ever, there would be no "good" because it would be all good. (If that makes any sence) Without a change, this life would be boring, and we would have no purpose because things would already be at their best point, and we would have nothing to improove. What makes the good things good is to have thoes bad times.
  • It's just the way it is. Sadly enough, I know all the happiness I have now will end very soon-I can just feel it. I hope that what comes next is far greater then I could have ever dreamed. I hope that God forgives me of all my stupid excuses and sins and blesses me.
  • Everything comes to an end its just that we miss the good things more and are happy that the bad things have come to the end.
  • All things come to an end, not just the good. The bad can be overcome also! Everything has a beginning, and an end, we just don't know half the time, when it will be.
  • There cannot be good without the bad, if good went on forever it wouldn't be good, it'd be the same all the time. You'd be bored and have no emotional spectrum. You'd long for bad just to feel a difference.
  • nothing gold can last
  • Mother Nature has a hand in everything we do -
  • what - life - iknow what you mean - but things have to end for there to be new beginnings and new beginnings make things much better - but in the terms for life i don't know - no one knows!
  • all things end, not just the good things.
  • because thats how the world works.
  • No,no, no..only if you think that way.
  • Flag this answer.
  • Because in order to experience true appreciation for someone or something, there has to be a degree of recognizing the possibility of loss. If you knew it would never end, eventually it would be taken for granted.
  • Doesn't this sound like only the good die young?
  • because everything ends, bad things end aswell.
  • Because, the government doesn't want us to have good times.
  • so that you can process all the great information before the next good thing begins....
  • All good things come to an end, because that's what makes them good. If life was good all the time, we wouldn't appreciate what we had. It's the bad things in life that we should be thankful for, because it's the bad things that let us see the good in life.
  • coz the bad things have to start....they alternate on a relay race
  • coz the bad things have to start....they alternate on a relay race
  • Because Fur-tarto said so.
  • because nothing gold can stay
  • well if they didn't become to an end there wouldn't be any good things to begin - same as bad things
  • because there is a time for everything in life and with good comes bad..i also agree with MOTOARENA and FinaBalance and Seethegrim
  • Because everything eventually ends!
  • Because if a good things went on forever, you'd forget that it was a good thing and take it for granted.
  • If they didn't, what would keep you on your toes? Good or bad, rest easy, all things must pass.
  • That's simple, if you ask me. If everything was good, all of the time... nothing would ever be bad. So, if nothing was bad ever, what would make good... good? Suffering defines our existance. Solving problems and overcomming adversity makes the ENJOYABLE times possible. So, appriciate adversity and hard times, because without them, we would not be able to define, what it is, that makes us feel... well... good!
  • All things end -- impermanence is one of the fundamental characteristics of reality. Without change there's no meaning to the word "time". As to "good things" vs. "bad things", those are OUR points of view talking. Life doesn't think like that... it just keeps flowing on.
  • Because Nelly Futardo is an evil demon? whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh
  • So you can also experiment suffering:!
  • if they didnt we would be spoiled...
  • Because if they didn't you wouldn't enjoy it as much.
  • because there is NO PREFECT LIFE but ONLY PREFECT MOMENTS.. :) and it is meant to cherish it all you can :) ces't lavie
  • Because if they came to a beginning, they wouldn't have happened at all. Either that, or they were somehow travelling back in time. In which case, they would actually be undoing all the good things, which might be considered by some to be worse than them not having happened in the first place.
  • Because they do. On the bright side - all bad things come to an end too!
  • Beacuse sadly thats life.
  • Most bad things come to an end as well :)
  • Because everything good or bad that Start eventually must end. Nothing, except God is endless!
  • not all good things end...God is good and He hasn't ended
  • Because life is nothing more than never-ending sorrow punctuated by breif moments of happiness. I forget who said that, but it's a quote close to my heart.
  • because life is a cycle. everytime something begins, something else ends. when WWII ended, peace began again in europe. when one president is done with his term in office, another begins. all good things come to an end because that is the only way we will ever learn to truly appreciate them. " you cant enjoy the sun without a little rain"
  • because life is a cycle. everytime something begins, something else ends. when WWII ended, peace began again in europe. when one president is done with his term in office, another begins. all good things come to an end because that is the only way we will ever learn to truly appreciate them. • Not only good but bad also come to an end. If there's no end there will be no new beginning.
  • To make room for other good things.
  • Whoa... I love this song (Nelly Furtado - All Good Things Come To An End) LOL Hmmm... from a positive point of view, I would said it is because it will prepare you to another good things Sometimes we are (ok, at least I do :)) too fixated to one good thing and doesn't pay attention that something better is coming
  • It's the cycle of life.
  • we need to experience bad times in our life to really appreciate the good in it. However this doesnt mean that we deliberatley give ourselves a hard time its just a fact of life, your not always going to have luck on your side.
  • some call it carma, its the universes way of leveling out life for all that is good there will be something bad and vise versa
  • all good things come to an end because they or it has out lived its usefulnes and must be discarded to make room for the next meaningful and useful this.obsolessece is cruel but true
  • To let new good things start.
  • Because there is always a beginning, a middle, and an end.
  • Because they have the choice to do so.
  • WEEELL... Thinking more literally than philosophically, people die, plants die, animals die, objects... blow up?? . in the end we will all end up in a black hole or end up as star dust, the exact same way we begun anyway:D but thats ok coz id love being a star:). My point is, everything ends. And you are asking the wrong question. Don't ask WHY... the answer is 'it just does'. Ask rather, when? Because that MIGHT be useful. You can't change the outcome of this world. Yes you can make it better or worse, you have an effect on the things around you, and im not saying you SHOULDNT try to make this a better place...im saying the answer to the question "WHY DO ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END?" is that they just do. They always do. They always will. Thats the truth.
  • Perhaps all good things come to an end so that we can decipher between the different good things; because if good things didn't come to an end and thus were forever lasting, would we recognise them as good things or just the ordinary? P.S. I realise it's not quite right to answer a question with a question, but it really was the only way i could word the answer.
  • I believe that we know nothing of what we think we know. What is good to us. What do we do that we think is good. And what is of good if it came to an end. For this question posted, all good things might come to an end because we don't know what good is really all about. Maybe all the good things can be all of the bad things that we interpreted it to be that of the good. And maybe the good can turn everything into that of the bad.
  • Do good things come to an end for a hedonist?
  • what if they didnt? we wouldnt' be here
  • And all bad things come to an ens as well
  • because the only way to achieve true joy is to chase that which you love
  • so better things can come together:]
  • Everything comes to an end, good or bad. It’s the manifestation of life its self. Life its self is non lasting. Our universe will claps due to solar activity in the next whatever years from now. “death has its date set on everyone, everything and every event.” Joyeux Hendrickson.
  • because nothing lasts forever.
  • We don't know that for sure, do we? Perhaps love endures through the ages in some other configuration so it never really ends. I'm willing to concede that might be a possibility.
  • cause its human nature to choose what is worst for us and if its somthing good humans will eventualy grow tired of it and go on to somthing worse. then you'll look back and wish you were back to the good things
  • "nothing last forever" the bad or the good
  • They wouldn't be all that "good" if they didn't! ;-)
  • You don't know whats good til it's gone. :D
  • It's just an expression. How can we possibly know that all good things on the entire planet eventually come to an end? We cannot. It's just not possible to know this for certain. And I would guess that the original statement "All good things must come to an end." is incorrect.
