I hope this will lift your spirit. smiling,from a personal view point created memories are the beginning of no end. Years ago I began to do things that I had never thought of, for instance Camping!, traveling distance lands, this enhanced my ability to accept that people were and have differences and that is o.k. Going back to college gave me a different perspective of life's beginning and how I wanted it to end. We may not be able to stop good things from ending, but we can make good memories that will never end.

I don't think they always do. I think that quote was made up by someone who had something they liked very much END. And they became abit hurt, sad, and bitter perhaps. I know alot of things that don't come to an end, until they die if they are things that die. And that is inevitable, but other things live on and on.

It's like when one door closes another door opens, I understand it to mean we should expect nothing to last forever therefore we are never disappointed and we should always prepare for a new beginning in areas of our life. If you're talking about "OUR" perceptions of good, then let me answer your question first by asking one. If you were born into a world where everything was white, would you know what white was? Everything needs contrast; white needs that which is not white in order to be white, hot needs cold, pleasure needs that which is not, and good needs that which isn't good. It's this relativity that provides the necessary dynamics for things to register upon us. If you continue to do something you like, eventually your perception of pleasure will diminish as it becomes the single stimuli that registers upon you, but if you stop and do something completely different, and come back to it again later, you'll experience that pleasure again. Therefore, good things must come to an end in order to remain good. But, in terms of good things existing in their own right, in a state of "goodness", I don't think they do come to an end. They remain constant.

Well, All good things come to an end because God knows that there good, But he knows there is someone there suffering because of that activitie or ex. Like when I was younger, I was in a softball league. There was this one girl that was on my team I defintley felt bad for her because she didn't like it at all! Because too much of a good thing wouldn't be a good thing anymore. Aren't good things really things you look forward to? If you had to constantly eat your favorite ice cream all day long everyday at every meal it might not seem so good after awhile. If you got to sleep 24 hours a day you would want to get up and out after a while. We love our families but sometimes need time away from them to realize we love them more. The thing I believe about the examples I've given is this....some people NEVER get enough of the truly good things to want them to end.

Because, no matter how good something is, someone will feel the need to 'improve' on it or commercialize it, ruining it for everyone to the point that no one thinks it is a 'good thing' anymore.

Like a good book, the ending brings all the loose ends together and gives us the opportunity to step back and reflect. Not only will there be other good books, but there can be a sequal to the one that you have just completed. If it does not come from the author, you can create your own, if only in your own imagination. One thing leads to another and nothing that has ever been real ever completely disolves into nothingness. Every memory creates a ripple which takes on a life of its own. Love is life-giving and beget more love. It has been happening since the first man and woman loved each other and brought new life into the world. It has just be passed on and multiplied.

Perhaps all good things come to an end so that we can decipher between the different good things; because if good things didn't come to an end and thus were forever lasting, would we recognise them as good things or just the ordinary? P.S. I realise it's not quite right to answer a question with a question, but it really was the only way i could word the answer.

I believe that we know nothing of what we think we know. What is good to us. What do we do that we think is good. And what is of good if it came to an end. For this question posted, all good things might come to an end because we don't know what good is really all about. Maybe all the good things can be all of the bad things that we interpreted it to be that of the good. And maybe the good can turn everything into that of the bad.

It's just an expression. How can we possibly know that all good things on the entire planet eventually come to an end? We cannot. It's just not possible to know this for certain. And I would guess that the original statement "All good things must come to an end." is incorrect.
