  • I would be on answerbag :) Or, be spending time with friends.
  • problably work...When I was sick with mono for 8 months, I did nothing, I actually missed work. TV gets old REAL fast
  • Probably would work anyway, but now I would have the choice about where, what hours, and who's the boss (me?). I'd probably write, and continue to volunteer at my church. And perhaps go back to school.
  • Spend ALL of my time building hotrods, and guitars.
  • Write, play, and record my own music, and get a band together to do it all live every weekend. And I would have Daryl build my axes. (I gotta do something to get him to rate me, cause I'm about to throw his answer above mine!)

  • Well I am in that situation, and it is OK, but not what one would think. I am bored alot of the time. I am lonely due to my friends still working and my wife's death. I come here to spend time now, and have become addicted in a day! I hope this is not what I will be doing for the rest of my life is typing and reading!! I give time to charity things and devote time also to helping with a few community projects I started or helped fund. But to answer the question, it is harder than you might think even if you have some money, to not have a job and try to plan things to keep busy. If I were 65-70 it might be easier, since I could play cards or do other social things with friends who were also retired. It is a challenge, but so far, more fun than problems.
  • Well, I am there, but not by choice. It means trying to come up with alot of things to keep busy. AB has filled in alot of gaps, but doesn't take the place of human interraction in real life. I spend alot of time with the "boob tube," (TV to you people not from the USA or born after about 1980) DVD's, walking, reading, and going to medical appointments unfortunately. Since I cannot travel and finances are limited, it makes it even worse. It could be alot worse, but it is not always as much fun as one might expect until you are in that situation.

  • i would want to have kids/ be married raise my kids spend time with family and friends and pets etc
  • Volunteer in the hospital, or the no one dies alone program. It is where when no one is there, and someone is in thier last few days, someone sits with them, so when they die, someone is there to talk to them, and hold thier hand. We also have a lady, that comes in with a harp and plays for the dying. It is sooooo important to me.
  • Travel to remote parts of the world living with and researching the more primitive societies, and traditions. What a blast.

  • Travel and make music. Ideally at the same time. I'd go to Africa, for instance, and buy an (insert instrument here), then learn how to play it from a local Master. Also behooves one to learn the local language, which is something else I like to do. Fly/mail the instrument home, then repeat in another country. Whee!
  • Well, I might not be employed but I'll always work. It just makes me happier to be doint something, making something. Right now my husband and I are not emplyed outside the home, we are in the process of builing our house. That's our job. It's a lot of work but great fun!
  • I would travel the entire planet!
  • I would spend all my time doing archaeology. Id really like to have a career in it, but its thought of as a hobbie rather than a job.
  • Sit at home, eat Doritos and similar stuff, and watch about 1000 videos, going on to Answerbag for an hour everyday.
  • Well...If i did not have to work then i would obviously have the money to live comfortable, then i would first travel with my kids as an educational purpose and of course enjoyment. Then i would love to go back to school and fulfill my further need for education.
