The Fixx http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swzK7Q8teSM

The original was The Fixx, but this vocal is not them. It sounds like Dan Haseltine of Jars Of Clay. I have not been able to find any reference to this but it sure sounds like Dan's voice.
-
I'm not sure but they sure have good harmonies. I would buy something from them. It almost sounds likes Thrasher and Shriver. Anyone have the real answer
-
this could be a long shot but I would put money on Glen Phillips ( formally of Toad the Wet Sprocket) Just a Guess
-
I'd be willing to bet that it's Glen Phillips formerly of Toad The Wet Sprocket.
-
It could be the Everly Brothers!
-
I would agree that it is Glen Phillips. Mostly because I really know his voice. This jingle is so Toad and Glen. And, he has done many a jingle. Let's wish him well from his recent injury. Pray for this great guy! I love his music!
-
It sounds like Neil Diamond. The vibrato.
-
Try to listen to something by Thrasher Shiver, see what you think!
-
I sent Glen Phillips an e-mail asking him if he was the one who sang the song on the add. He replied saying that he in fact was not the one who recorded the song. So…here we are back to square one.
-
I am going to guess that it's this dude Mark. He's a huge session singer in LA and the lead singer for the band Venice and the cover band Pine Mountain Logs. It sounds like him.
-
I think it is England Dan and John Ford Coley
-
That blew me away. Its been bothering me every time I hear it because I hear Toad too. I thought it must be someone that sang harmony to Glen like Dean Dinning. Never thought others were wondering where the Toad sound came from.

sounds like weird al

Flock of Seagulls????
-
It's called a "rip". Not the original AND it's not even the original melody. It's supposed to be close but not close enough to get sued. IMHO it's too close. If I was the Fixx I'd go after them!! escapearts
-
None of the above !!! He's a personal aquaintnce of mine and I guarnatee you it's none of the above artists.
-
It is "none of the above". He's a close personal friend of mine who has a ton of talent, not to mention some nice cash off of the song. Good luck trying to find out who it is.
-
It's an old Fixx song, but I don't think that's the Fixx in the commercial.
-
He's an East Coast (New England) guy who produced and sings on the ad.
-
Nope, you guys aren't even close. He's an artist from New England who has also produced for quite a few new young artists.
-
He's an east coast guy who has done quite a few big commercials. He has also produced for a few up and coming bands.
