  • Nothing on the internet is "anonymous". Sure, there are many different ways one can hide, but nothing is infalible. Your IP address is a unique number assigned to the network device (nic, router, etc) you are using to connect to the internet. This is the first step in tracking online pirating. Once "you" have been located, your ISP is then subpoenad for your address, name, etc. Again, EVERYTHING online is trackable. Some things just make it more difficult to find you.
  • Actually, the RIAA's interest in you actually has nothing to do with the volume of your downloads. The RIAA actually monitors who has the most copyrighted material available for upload.
