  • I usually read over some info about the college, take a shower, get dressed, and try to stay relaxed. I often think of what they might ask and then ponder over it before I arrive. One common question that I always muddle is "How do your friends describe you?" Always use positive words in situations like these. Most importantly, be yourself and relax.
  • Have questions for them ready. If there's anything about the college you're wondering, now's the time to ask it! Besides that, know why you're interested in that particular institution, and be yourself. if they don't want you because of who they percieve you as, its probably not the right place for you to go.
  • Don't give stock answers. Think of things that are really unique about you. Think of ways that you can contribute to the academic environment, and serve the community while you are there. Tell them what classes you can't wait to take and what activities you are excited to be involved in. Show them how you will fit in with their specific school. And remember, you're interviewing them too so ask good, insightful questions (NOT about their ranking, cost or financial aid options)
  • The first thing I would do is Google that question to find out what the colleges want.
