• Frame it with mat paper....a mat looks alot like a frame made out of cardboard.
  • IAM is correct but I'm surprised your teacher was so vague. The mat is simply a border for your work. You choose the best color to accentuate whatever you have drawn. You also choose the dimensions of the border and they don't need to be equal. On larger work I usually have 2" left,right,top and 3" bottom. What surprises me is that you need to bevel the inside edges at a 45 degree angle and you need a special tool to do that. Is this high school or college? IAM is also correct in that you can buy them relatively cheaply, a good frame can be significantly higher...Good luck...
